https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/KeyWest/DuvalStreetMile
A one-mile race down Key West's most famous street. An official event of the annual Conch Republic Independence Celebration, the race kicks off an hour before The Longest Parade -- from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Plenty of prizes for individuals, age groups, and 3-person teams in numerous categories. Fun post-race party and crazy raffle at Smokin' Tuna Saloon. T-shirts to the first gross people (that's 144, 12 dozen). This race benefits KWHS Cross Country. Help keep these dedicated kids on the roads and off the streets!!
that sounds fun..

I found a non-intuitive way to find races .. USATF course search. You can search by distance, ie "exactly 1 mile" or "exactly 1 km".. :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf:

redbull 400 (uphill), looks hard. lol.
https://www.redbull.com/us-en/events/red-bull-400-international
that looks absolutely horrible. looked at a couple race results and it seems to take at least 3 minutes for the male winners to finish. i wonder how elite athletes would do. bet 800m runners would dominate.

yea it would be interesting to see what elites would do. As long as the course doesn't "require" a crawl, ie it's always runnable, i'd be interested. If it forces you to crawl etc, i'd lose interest. I see some people crawling when others are running, so it just seems that they get wrecked..
i'd predict 1500m guys would probably dominate more than 800m, but who knows. Would be fun to see them lure elite track guys into it. I mean they got a sprinter to race an ostrich, and Floyd/Conor happened, should be possible. lool.
looks horrible but kinda fun.

it's amazing to me how.. these oldschool american times, would beat/compete with lots of the kenyan times that raced it more recently.. but then, at the same time, americans are posting slower times at the race now, except for a few.
