What is a "goober"? It's like some sort of Word Police and Certified Asshole?

It's kind of like a doofus but with some goofball thrown in.

Kinda lame
Pavel calls this rooting and has been talking about this for over 15 years (that I know of). OLympic lifters and powerlifters have been doing it since the dawn of time. Basically you are taking the slack out of a joint and making it more stable. More stable joint = more efficient force production from prime movers cause you are not leaking energy.

yeah rippetoe talks about this, too, in starting strength. "spreading the floor" has been a good cue for me in the past when i feel myself being a unstable.
btw i just realized that starting strength is currently the 741st best-selling book on amazon, which means it's selling something like 800-1000 copies a month. rippetoe publishes the book himself, so he's probably netting like $10k/month just on starting strength sales. not too shabby, especially if you live in BFE, texas.

So people actually BUY books? Weird.
