-New York will give up Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry's expiring contract, their own first round pick in 2014, Golden State's second round picks in 2012 and 2013, and $3 million in cash.
-Going to the Knicks with Anthony will be Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.
NYC in the playoff race finally. They pretty much lost some young talent but this is just the beginning of a rebuilding team. Can't wait till Chris Paul comes along. :P The REAL big 3....

NYC finally gets Melo...they'll regret they gave up on Gallo though...
-
Celtics are the only big 3. They still shit on everybody even at their age. 3-0 against miami's "big 3"
-
OK Melo, you got what you wanted. Now fucking prove you're worth it because I'm really not convinced.

agreed, but, would be funny if NY competes with the heat now over the next few years, ruining their finals-dreams etc.. back when i cared about basketball, NY was a serious thorn in miami's side, cracks me up now that they are all of a sudden relevant again.
i think this will be a pretty impressive force, melo+amare+billups is a pretty skilled trio btu the team itself is anything but deep at this point.
should be interesting though
chicago is the real dark horse now though, they have a solid team.

I agree with LBSS, Boston Celtics Big 4 (add rondo lulz) > the Miami's BIG 3. A lot of Knicks fans seem pissed off that the trade happened. I'm talking about a 5-6 year window. This was a "long term trade", a big one. Felton was not long term and neither was any other player traded. They were 2 games above .500 with that lineup. People will get over it and realize that the trade was a good trade. They just have to up their defense and expect big things.

in my wants,
chicago>celtics>heat>knicks
period

Carmelo Anthony : 27 pts 10 reb
Chauncy Billups : 21 pts 8 ast
Amar'e Stoudemire: 19 pts 5 reb
- Amazing debut from both of them. Although there were some key mistakes that could hurt them down the road.
- ISO ball with less ball movement than one would like.
- Blown defensive coverage
- Some nerves and misfiring on offense.
- Everyone did a awesome job just trying to figure each other out. To play with such high intensity and effort to pull out this win is commendable, I applaud these guys for playing on sheer instinct and ability. Maybe not a championship caliber team just yet, but improving the bench, defense, chemistry, and maybe fishing for another star caliber player could leave New York in the top 3 seed in the east.

for another star caliber player
landry fields has a big future

The catalyst of the New York Knicks is Landry Fields. When he plays well the team always seems to win. Also he manages to play his best against the best teams. For sure he is going to be a stud.

NBA starts becoming a 3-4 team affair with A LOT of really weak teams, and that's not really good at all in my opinion...
-
Why? I like rivalries and great teams going head to head. Parity is not that great in my opinion.

NYK, Bulls, Magic, Heat, and Celtics. Expect a wild eastern playoff this year.
