Best scorer in the world right now, hands down.

Dropping 66 @ Rucker park a couple days ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SWfJe9dLG8

Skip to 2:55 for an un-edited massacre, dude is an absolute monstrosity.

Bonus:
One day later, dropping 41 and hitting the game-winning three, wack D tho.

Still, Kobe dropped 81 in an NBA game against NBA level defenders, coaches, strategies and so on and so forth.

Kobe's 81 was impressive, but who we kidding that was against the Raptor's...and they weren't nba level defenders.

True, Kobe's 81 points is far more impressive than any summergame performance I could possibly think of.
Defense wasn't that bad either (even though they should've doubled before dude hit 50 smh) re-watch the game.

However, I wasn't getting at the 81/total performance.
Durant was just dropping straight Bombs, see where he shot that last one from?
That's a PULLUP over a semi-double team, two steps over mid-court, I've never seen anyone hit 5 straight from that distance in any game, as impressive as a zone as I've ever seen

Closest thing I could think of is Prince in college (start = 1 minute mark):

Or maybe Lebron:

KD = my favorite NBA player.

That being said, I've always loved this YT clip:

hah, was just editing my previous post with T-mac, strange I forgot about that one.
Actually bought his jersey back in the day just because of those couple of seconds.

Sweet post.

Yeah but it's a matter of confidence/swagger as well. Playing in an inferior league gives an NBA player added swagger/confidence.

A friend of mine played 1 on 1 with a guy from Romania's first division at a streetball tournament for exhibition purposes. And I tell you what - that guy (not my friend, the 1st division player) was shooting closer to half court or so and making everything. And my friend actually played decent defense on him. But he shot the lights out, making basket after basket, we were amazed.

The same guy could barely get 5 minutes per game, if any, in our WEAK AS SHIT 1st Division. So, it's all a matter of swagger/confidence.

Durant is great but he is not the best scorer in the world. Sorry. Carmelo is better, and Kobe probably even at this age might still be better. Also, I love Durant and this 66 is impressive, but seriously anyone diminishing Kobe's 81 because it was against the Raptor's is delusional. The Raptor's sucked, but the worst NBA team would make the best Rucker Park team look like little kids. Add to the fact it is more competitive than a streetball game, so the defense was not only better, but trying harder.

Durant's pull up 3's are amazing though.
Goal is to dunk.

Vertical needed to dunk: 40"

Current vertical : 38.5"

Raptors are my fav team (even though they insist on torturing me every year). But honestly that was historically bad defense. Their starting frontcourt was Matt Bonner and Chris Bosh - ouch. They didn't double Kobe all game... you'd think when 1 player is completely torching you at some point you'd say 'hmm, maybe we should double him and make someone else beat us'...but nope not my raptors.

...and FWIW, I wasn't comparing Durants 66 to Kobe's 81.

^^ this.

PERSONAL OPINION ALERT!

Between Kobe and Durant right now I'd def go with Durant as a pure scorer.
I'm a huge Kobe fan, but I don't like his transition to the post as much and but he's just not as good off the ball in my opinion.
Same with Melo, even though his post game is clearly better. As pure scorers, I'd say they're about even, but since Durant's game does not require holding the ball for about 4-5 seconds before jacking up a (good) shot, I'd still rather take him over Anthony.
Durant's ability to get to the FT line is also unmatched by anyone in the league imo.
Also, dude is like SEVEN FEET TALL WTF

After this post season, you could also make a good case for Dirk, as his %s were incredible, but he's not as good on the break. Other than that I'd say they're about the same level scoring wise as well, even though they're very different players.

Wade shouldn't be forgotten either.

My Top 5 scorers in the league right now, let's see yours
1. Kevin Durant
2. Carmello Anthony
3. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Wade
5. Lebron/Kobe

I am not talking complete players here though; defensively, rebounding and playmaking wise, Dirk and Durant are nowhere near Lebron or Kobe imo. Just talking about the pure ability to consistently put the ball into the hoop at an effective rate.

Let's see your opinion brah, interested.

Ontopic, sweet post Raptor, was over the course of an entire game though.
If we're talking a longer duration of zones;

Personal favourite:

Second half is just unreal, just look at the ATL bench from the three minute mark and on.
