NBA 2017 - 2018 Season

Looking to have a great discussion with basketball minds and those really sharp about bball, nba contract/bargaining, understand the game and traveling bball, and good with pattern recognition, team chemistry, human sports psychology, etc etc.

My prediction is that one of the most improved teams will be Brooklyn nets and Miami heat, depending on who they retain and get.

33yrs | 24in SVJ | >45% BF | 227LB | 5'9 | 7'5 reach | 400lb max squat paused | 5'8 wingspan | 26in RVJ

Coming back from 2 years of inactivity!

Goal: Maintain 385-405lb squat while cutting down to 165 LB

heat definitely.. not sure about the nets tho.

i'm not sure i'll be much use to the study group, i kind of fade in/out.

offseason signings will get us all amp'd up though.. imagine if we had predicted anything last time this year, before durant went to the biggest juggernaut in the NBA.. hah. this thread will explode in late june/july i imagine.

How do you all think Lonzo Ball will do in the NBA?

not as well as lavar ball thinks he will.

well said.. hah.

I think lonzo will form into a solid player in the NBA, as long as he doesn't let the hype crush him. He's a decent 3pt shooter, good vision (assists), pretty athletic, good all around skills. He's got more of an "NBA style", me-first break down a D + create, ie he'll do better in the NBA vs NCAA. He's not going to come in and make a huge impact right away though IMHO.. He's going to need to get used to the speed difference. Players like De`Aaron Fox with NBA speed have locked him down on D. So he's going to have to get used to it, which I think he will.

Butler to CLE maybe.. what?

http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/sources-out-of-cleveland-say-jimmy-butler-will-push-for-trade-to-cavs/

How is that a good move for CLE?

Is Butler a better fit than Love? Love adds beast rebounding to his scoring .. not sure how this is a good move.

I know right. Pacers were the only team that pushed Cle. I'd want to stay in the east if I was him.

Lol Drose just signed with Cavs for a mere 2.1 m/yr lol....

I always liked the Drose /Lebron combo tbh.....

But back to the Lebron/kyrie fiasco..... i knew kyrie was one hell of a passive/aggressive motherfucker .... u can see it in his game.... personality wise ppl always thought he was a chill and humble guy, but when he flips out, he flips the fuck out.

this was hella funny:

what a horrible reporter.. painful to watch.

A cool read on the Irving situation-
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2723393-kyrie-irving-cavaliers-trade-lebron-james-nba-offseason

The most salient point in there is that if KI wants the limelight then where does he go that he'll be the top dog? Knicks without Melo maybe. San Antonio nope. Utah idk.

Also very excited to see what playing with Lebron does for Rose. Provided he can stay healthy that is.
