Adarq...bruh....ya just got Russ.

crazy.. MIA just pulled some serious stuff out of nowhere this off season.

I've been following the rumors for a while now, but can't find details of the trade?!?!

Westbrook is a beast but, not exactly sure of what to think yet - tho I guess Westbrook might be even more of a threat in the East. Westbrook is an absolute monster, this is definitely exciting. It'll be fun watching him in MIA, going to be highlight szn down here.

The East is pretty open right now.. MIA didn't prepare for it too well but SOMEHOW pulled some serious magic to make these two trades happen.

Westbrook, Butler, joining Bam/Dragic/Winslow/Olynyk etc.. I think we still have Waiters, James Johnson, Jones Jr as well? Now Meyers Leonard & Herro seems solid?? If so, very solid squad right there.

MIA going to be showtime for 2019-2020. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

Yahoo posted it and now the link is dead?! Hmmm. I've been following as well and due to cap reasons I thought they'd have to bring a 3rd squad in. Either way it seems that OKC and MIA are determined to get this done. Huge move for Miami IMO.

waiters > westbrook imo right now

uhhhhhhhh.. no.

Quote
but seriously westbrook has 0 finesse on his shots, has probably one of the worst square up and follow thru's today....

ya but he doesn't need finesse on his shots. he can get to the bucket, rebound, assist, etc. if he had more finesse on his shot, nice. but he's still averaging triple doubles for entire seasons.

when it comes to winning championships, i'm not high on westbrook (he's kind of "melo-ish" to me). but he's one of the best in the game right now.

Quote
wow very solid squad indeed miami has...

yup

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul, first-round picks in 2024 and 2026, pick swaps in 2021 and 2025, league sources tell ESPN.

From 2020 to 2026: 15 first-round picks and the swap rights in 4 years. <- OKC.. damn.

Seems like the most random trade but I don't mind it. Houston had to do something.

*Edit- the one person I feel sorry for in all of this is Adams.

Yea absolutely no clue how this will work. Two guys who demand the ball and one who doesn't even bother to cross half court when he isn't in the play.  But OKC pulled a fuckin HEIST with those picks. Good Lord.

ya. they both demand the ball so much. but maybe that's good.. because the previous Houston team had a big problem trying to get the ball out of Harden's hands.

Harden just dribbling the shot clock down, then taking crazy shots. Maybe he needs someone like RWB to demand more positions, and make it look like "normal" basketball.

so it could actually work .. but their personalities could also end up clashing & it could turn into a train wreck if they realize they won't be a real contender.

curious to see what happens.

and ya, damn @ OKC. big moves for a big rebuild.

Right and it just might work considering their already established friendship.

Agreed on the OKC reload, ESPECIALLY if they draft like they did a decade ago (KD, Russ, Harden, Ibaka). SMH. I can't believe.they broke that squad up!

the talking point being pushed around lately seems to be "ZION is over weight, can't move, out of shape"

i mean... he looked like he was moving great in that game before he bruised his knee. :ninja:

I never know what level of bullshit meter to apply to the sports journalists in the US. Here in Aus there's about a 50/50 ratio so it's pretty easy. The market is that small that there's only a few journos who will go off the reservoir. From what I see though on ESPN and Undisputed, etc it could be 80/20 over there. Most of what I watch these days I write off completely.
