Title: New lebron's cost $300, but it should be well worth it!
Post by: fast does lie on September 29, 2012, 10:59:21 am
It supposedly comes with a device within the shoe that can measure one's vertical.  Now that has got to be the sickest shoe ever made because a jump mat costs $500 and can't measure your running vertical.  This shoe has other features too and is also a solid basketball shoe.

it's the same technology as the hyperdunk + shoe. I almost got that, except I do not use an iphone and I think you need one to use the app that measures your vertical. It seems pretty accurate though. My regular hyperdunks are just badass so I'm satisfied. And I have a good estimate of my running vert. However if I was playing ball all the time and practicing dunks I may have gotten the +.

edit: also why are you posting this in the strength, power, reactivity, & speed discussion thread? There are threads elsewhere where you can post random things like this.

300 bucks? damn

wouldn't it be smarter to get one of those portable devices/phone which can measure vert pretty accurately.. sounds more cost effective in the long run.

portable device = initial investment
shoes = purchases every ~3 months

i know when i played basketball, i tore up shoes so fast, especially since i played outside on concrete..

which reminds me i need to buy some new waffle racers tonight.

Yeah them hyperdunks + were very tempting. 3 months ago I said to myself that I was going to buy them for my birthday coming up this month, but now I won't because I love playing ball in my waffle racers and I know 250$ isn't really going to be worth it in the long run. I really don't like the Lebrons though, you might as well play in Timberlands.

lmao... $250 vs $29.. :D

29$ x 9 waffle racers = 1 hyperdunk
