What would you say is optimal strength for basketball for a 5'10 guard.

I don't know that there is an optimal strength for a 5'10" guard as much as there is just an optimal strength for you.

what are your strength measurements? it's hard to just say an 'optimal strength' number, too much variation, in weight, leverages etc.

but there exist relative strength numbers, those pretty much anyone can shoot for.

Don't get too caught up in the numbers. It's what ever you can achieve without it taking away from your ability to play basketball and stay injury free.

It just seemed most players in the league just had moderate strength but some like nate robinson were strong as hell :ibsquatting:

yeah good question here. I think basically, there isnt optimal strength for a 5'10. Probably just dont get too bulk up, be as strogn as you can be without losing your quickness.

And you might be referring to maybe upperbody strength, especially when it comes to shooting?

If so, I'm not so sure, but maybe as long as you can fade away jump shot from 30feet away without losing form, then you are srtong enough? just a guess.

As strong as possible without your strength training interrupting your basketball training.
