most MIA fans I know seem to hate on him as well, because he left.

he left MIA idgaf, balled out while he was here. can't wait to see him in LA tbh... exciting :D

Zion debut.. some impressive highlights. a few nasty dunks too. man, he is strong.

i'm curious what he's going to look like in a few years.. he's kinda Barkley-ish, but with more offensive potential i imagine.

I don't know if anyone else likes perusing NBA GOAT lists in the off-season, but this one (http://www.backpicks.com/2017/12/11/the-backpicks-goat-the-40-best-careers-in-nba-history/) was finished in April this year and is definitely one of the most comprehensive and detailed I've read.

bruh zion is nuts.. i don't care what level of opp he's playing (compared to his current level), his ability to finish is incredible. he makes some insanely tough shots, with beautiful finesse.

if lebron was a "mix of magic and michael" in a sense, then Zion might be a mix of Shaq, Kobe & Barkley. LMFAO.

absolutely disgusting dunk @ 6:10

That looks like an awesome article/list/concept/research etc. Great find.

I'll dig into the specifics of a few players, especially LEBRON & MJ :D

Also curious about Ray Allen.

MJ had a 43in running vertical AT BEST imo. SVJ could be as low as 30in. I hate all this misinformation and kiss ass on MJ having 48 in vertical yeah right maybe in space jam the movie....

tbh i think MJ might be one of the most overrated players in NBA history.... simply because their was an aura about him so the refs had to make calls for him, and then players ahd to play him certain way cause why get into foul trouble so easily.... MJ was like the nba.... in his era.... def overrated

in a photo shoot of usa bball with magic and bird, magic said "cant get too close to MJ or it'll be a foul"

def agree on the "players had to play him certain way cause why get into foul trouble so easily".

i say this to people and they look at me like i'm making blasphemous statements. I remember watching Bulls games and just cringing at the calls MJ got, even thoughI was cheering for him (if he wasn't playing against MIA). Kobe got those kinds of calls too.

people have been trying to erase that history with MJ, but I can't forget it, it was brutal to watch.

MJ was incredible & probably the most clutch player i've ever seen, but the calls he got once he transitioned into "superstar status", every game, were ridiculous. Prior to that, he couldn't get past Detroit/Boston etc. Once those superpowers disappeared, they made MJ untouchable.. that's all I know.

Boston disappeared because of Larry Legends back issues. Detroit just got beat. All he needed was one good player (sorry, I think pippen rode the f out of MJs coattails) and he didn't lose again.

He did get some incredible calls but like you mentioned so did Kobe, LeBron, etc

nah, Lebron doesn't get calls. Lebron gets calls like Shaq got calls. They let people rake him. If they gave Lebron the MJ/Kobe treatment, he'd be shooting 40 freethrows a game. Same for Shaq, but he'd miss 60% of them.

you could whisper at MJ and they'd blow the whistle :/

DWade in 09 literally did some things no one else has done. 2k points, 500 assists and 100+ blocks/steals. Just putting that out there in case people forgot because he's woefully underrated.

As for LeBron not getting calls...meh. It's a wash. He also gets away with a ton of stuff imo. Stars get star treatment. Always have always will.

I do think LeBron is more gifted athletically than MJ due to size. Both had great bounce, speed, strength in their athletic prime but LeBron is 3" taller and 40-50lbs heavier. MJ did possess the quickest first step I have ever seen tho. 80s MJs first step was incomprehensible. So i give that and body control to MJ. The rest tho...

wade def underrated.

also mr paycut to bring big stars on board, then riley refuses to pay him and let him finish in MIA. fu*king riley.

right, he gets away with travels and such, but when it comes to foul calls (which happen far more often), refs let alot slide. MJ got *phantom* calls, all game. :<

MJ def had more finesse, he was a true guard.

LEBRON is just a freak who can play any position. He can play center & point ffs.. lmao. That really is crazy.

MJ way more clutch offensively than LEBRON. Defensively? Lebron might have a slight edge. Lebron def not as clutch offensively. But he's also not a true guard like MJ - true guards should be more clutch in general in my opinion, just better shooters. MJ had GOAT clutchness though.. Kobe comes close, but i've never seen anyone as lethal as MJ with the clock running out.

pc!!

lebron confused af.

When asked whether Morey should be reprimanded for his tweet, James responded, "I think when we all sit back and learn from the situation that happened, understand that what you could tweet or could say, and we all talk about this freedom of speech -- yes, we do all have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you're not thinking about others and you're only thinking about yourself."

"I don't want to get into a word or sentence feud with Daryl Morey, but I believe he wasn't educated on the situation at hand and he spoke. So many people could have been harmed, not just financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually. I took his comment to be related to the China/NBA situation rather than the China/HK situation. By tweeting what he did Morey put a lot at risk financially which he "wasn't educated on the situation". I can't see how he could possibly mean the China/HK situation. He's not dumb and knows the value of his words. Maybe he should have been more explicit.

yea good point.

it's a weird situation. he's taking tons of heat for it, and hasn't really clarified.

i dont get this tho, maybe im the confused one :D

Quote
My team and this league just went through a difficult week.  I think people need to understand what a tweet or statement can do to others.  And I believe nobody stopped and considered what would happen.  Could have waited a week to send it.

wait a week to send it??

so that the nba could get two pre-season games aired on china TV first, before Morey voices his opinion on the protests?

i dno that makes it even worse LMAO.

Quote
Let me clear up the confusion. I do not believe there was any consideration for the consequences and ramifications of the tweet.  I’m not discussing the substance.  Others can talk About that.

dno. i imagine this is going to play out a bit longer. it's a weird one.

a bunch of my classmates are chinese and i was talking with two of them about lebron today. apparently the reaction in china to lebron backtracking is super positive (unsurprisingly, perhaps). lebron and the NBA have money to make in china, they don't give a shit about hong kong. one of the few things democrats and republicans can agree on in the US is "china bad!" US nba fans will forget about this in a few weeks or months and meanwhile by bending over backwards to kiss china's ass the NBA is protecting its image in a place that won't forget how it handles this situation.

not saying it's right, just saying.

and a pissed off lebron to start the nba szn is going to be dangerous for his opposition.
