Macklin wins by a split decision.

Not serious. Sergio by KO in 6, although a lot of people are thinking he shouldn't knock Macklin out to help his chances at a Mayweather fight.

sergio is a beast.. if you listened to the announcers, you'd believe it was a bad performance by sergio, up until rounds 9,10,11..

he picked macklin apart all fight, completely shut him down, then destroyed him.. he looked really good (reflexes/speed), that left hand was crazy fast, so was his jab.

im bout to pass out, pc

Well through 8 Macklin was ahead on all 3 scorecards and he was ahead on 1 at the end. You seem to be the only one who thought Sergio looked good.

A very good fight from martinez he was excellent.

During the first few round up to round 6. I was not seeing much i was kinda sleepy and hoping for something to happen, it looked as if martinez might be slowing down, tiring, or maybe its his age i don't know.

but until round 7, macklin thought he knocked him down, when looking at the replay his knees were playing role to trip so when he hits he trips but only gloves touched.

macklin was ahead round 4 to 7 then martinez had to play catch up, which he was able to.
but during 8 and onwards it started to pick up.

until round 11, he knocked macklin on to his ass and then a few seconds later again back on his ass.  :headbang:
that is the martinez we remember, his speed, manouver especially power punches.

excellent fight and ended as he wanted with a KO/TKO i guess KO is just as good as a TKO

Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

jcsbck, arent you a bernard hopkins fan? doesnt he start off 'slow' every fight? sergio does the same thing.. it's tactical & his style.. but then he pours it on.

yup, defensive counterpunchers are always going to take some time to get going.

Yea, but you said Sergio picked Macklin apart all fight and shut him down. I disagree, and so did the judges.
