I read about this company recently from an old news report which i found on the internet published on feb 2011.

here is a short summary of that news.

Harp pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Jose E. Martinez to a one count Information that charged Harp with knowingly and intentionally introducing into the United States approximately 1,874 cylinders of the ozone-depleting substance hydrochlorofluorocarbon-22 (“HCFC-22") using false invoices and statements. HCFC-22 is a widely used refrigerant for residential heat pump and air-conditioning systems.

crazy stuff, people trying to purposely destroy our ozone and the environment.

a company was trying to get around regulations designed to protect people and their environment from harmful chemicals, because the company thought doing so would be easier and less expensive than complying with the law. the relevant regulatory agency did its job. what's especially newsworthy about any of that?
