Throwing the camera under the bus
fml, i had a jump session today, it was going well until about 5-7 minutes in and my camera batteries die[/b].. i was flying, definitely the highest i have ever gotten at the ymca and none of these were max jumps, all warm ups. i was really excited for this session, i gonna do some head heights, lots of different dunk attempts, etc.
i know both palms were above the rim on one attempt cause they hit the rim and i think i was about 10" above on an attempt as well.
double hand reach = 86" - 7'2
single hand reach = 88" - 7'4
hand = 8"
128" - 86" = 42"
130" - 88" = 42"
now before the brigade starts hating and calling me a liar, etc., i will jump again soon. i will go again tomorrow if i dont stay out late tonight and if that doesn't work out ill go again saturday.
i managed to get in about 8 jumps on cam before i noticed my camera had died. i feel pretty good about these jumps because none of them were max ( i think i had another 2-3" in me) and this came after a week of 2 hours of intense bball + conditioning/lifting mon - thursday + insufficient sleep + 6 hours of school each day + testing vert in pe friday.
you going to drop any vids of 405+ ?
wanna see that shit, nasty.
Bro I want to, but my memory card from the camera isn't being recognized by the computer and I lost the usb cord to it a long time ago (and of course the usb cord had to be specifically made for that camera, wtf.) I still have dunk vids from like a month ago that I was just never able to get off. So I have no clue how I'm going to be able to upload any videos... I had a dunk session today, I'm not too happy about it, I got up great, better than I did last time, had more "made" dunks too, but I lost two of my best attempts. One of the jumps was a HUGEE cockback that I barely missed that I slammed off the back iron, I had the ball cocked lower than my shoulder.. Fuck. The other was a two hander that I barely missed, but while still hanging on the rim I caught the ball and put it in. The reason I lost it is cause when I picked the camera up, the battery holder open and the camera shut off.. So the video wasn't saved.. FUCKKKKK! I didn't make any dunks, but that cockback would have made up for it, fuckk. It was so legit..
I had a couple other nice dunks, I'll upload later.. FUCKKK
I'd still say I got 43-45" on the highest jumps, so not bad, but I'm so pissed I lost those 2 attempts and I didn't make any dunks.. That cockback was legit.. FMLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BW: 165.4
Soreness: Moderate - pchain, calfs, traps, upper back, chest, barely any in quads
Fatigue: Mid - High
Sleep Schedule: 9 hours (1am - 10am)
Recovery: ~1 hour of basketball shooting
I also did 7 or 8 sub max jumps to get some blood flowing, the highest I got was maybe 42-43" which is pretty good after a 375 3x5 squat day. I got a decent jump on film, about 38-39", I was going to use that jump a gauge for how high I would get today and if it would be worth it to try and dunk one time, but I dropped my camera and it freaked out and didn't work for about 30 minutes, oh well, I'll get up good tomorrow!

5/8/11: It wasn't a bad session,
I didn't really film because my camera was dead, but I found my old, good batteries that I thought I lost. But by the time I started filming I had already been jumping for about 40 minutes, so I was worn out. I still got a decent jump on film, about 38-40 inches; I just grabbed with two hands. I didn't get too high on 10', I feel weird jumping on it, like I can't get up max for some reason. But when I jump on a lowered goal, I get up so much better and explosively, I feel like it's psych thing. But when doing it, I feel exactly how I do when I have a ton of adrenaline jumping on 10; like I'm floating and getting up so easy, it's a great feeling. On a ~8'3 rim, I was getting shoulder to rim, so that would be around 44".. So a decent session I suppose, I just need to work on getting up better on 10', that will come with practice.
4/19/11: Squat 3x5 345

- these felt nice and strong - in the video it looks like they are barely parallel and even slightly above,
but I think it's just camera distortion because there is no way they are that high, even so who cares about For some reason I can't views these posts to quote, but they exist
I felt like that was below parallel, like when I was doing it forsure. I was positive they were, they seemed so deep and nice, but after looking at the video it looks a little above, but I'm pretty convinced it's mainly camera distortion. You tell me? It's not a big deal though cause I train to become a better athlete, not a better squatter.

- BOX SQUAT OR PIN SQUAT: (315) 3 x 8, 2 minutes rest between sets, I was going to record this but I had nothing to place the camera on so I could have a good angle, I was using the box I usually put the camera on.
Nah..
YMCA was crowded so I didn't film there, I was gonna go to an outside court. The court that I filmed that Fail video at, the rims were taken down, the next closest school was locked from going to the courts. I didn't want to drive around finding courts. Tonight I might be going to an indoor gym, and if I do, I'll bring my camera and I'll see if I record..
^^^^^^^^^^ Coming from the kid who said he needed it to be crowded so he gets "adrenaline"^^^^^^^^
I got about 45" max today, but after filming I went to the other side of the court where this kid was shooting and dunked on a lowered goal. The goal was about 9'4 and I looked down the rim, so that would be around 50"..
