Does anybody feel like the site has fallen down recently...theres so much bullshit on here these days. When I first came on the site everybody that was posting was legit...Alot of the new dudes are posting mad shit and theres so much crap to wade through. I prefered it when there was less people on the site...felt like people were more likely to come together and help each other out...now theres only 1 or 2 journals that everybody comments on and the rest get ignored 'cos people don't wanna filter thru shit...

Make the journal for yourself, not for others to post in. People post in the journals they find interesting.

I'm sorry, but the generic high school vert bro with a 25 inch vert just isn't interesting to me. There's no purpose for me to comment on their journal.

Anyway, so you don't think the standard of the site has fallen off?

I'm not calling you that, I'm just saying that's what a lot of the new members are.

I do not think the site has fallen off. I think it's gotten much better. I've been here since almost the beginning. It started off with Adarq talking to himself in threads, and then it became what The Vertical Summit used to be. Now it has a lot of guys, from beginners to elite athletes to actual coaches.  Nowadays you can make a post and get 50 relevant responses in a day. Before you couldn't even get 50 views in a day.

You probably feel its fallen off cause Adarq doesn't follow as many journals anymore. Considering how many journals there are on here, and how he's training 3-4x a day, you can't expect him too.

LMAO.

Nah man, what changed is:

Andrew got focussed -> Andew stopped reading journals -> little feedback -> Externally motivated pussy-ass athletes throw in the towel.

I'm still reading the journals I like and they help me out a great deal, not just for motivation but for stuff you can apply yourself.
I think a little more interaction might be key for reviving this journal-section joint a bit though.

And well, you know what they say round here:
Lead by example.

Yea, I know you've been here longer man...not questioning that.

Anyway, what i'm saying is that at one point most posters were either guys at a high level or else guys who were getting there and a high percentage of posters were really knowledgable in one area or another and people could help each other out. Now it's gotten to the point that theres alot of crap on here. I just think it'd be better if there was sub-sections for higher level dudes and lower level dudes or something..It would give people something to aim for. I'm not even saying I think i'm in the higher level...After cutting i'd be at about a 2x bodyweight squat and I can dunk but alot of dudes on here are the same. Just saying theres alot of garbage to filter through now...and being honest - I gotta clean up my journal aswell to make it easier to follow and I gotta step my training up 'cos it's now been as good as it could be.  But yea, I see what you're saying and I def agree with you Jard. I think i'm gonna bookmark the journals I wanna check I guess and just go straight to them and skip all the garbage...guess that solves it...

I think, albeit disciminatory, it would be interesting to have a subforum for people who are 1 years or older in terms of having an account in here. If anything, just for fun. I wonder what would happen in that.
