figure i'll put a post on my experience with vertfreak so far

i'm starting wk 6 in a few days, the explosive/speed phase

phase 1 was strength/overtraining

got a trap bar deadlift PR 305, didn't check previous max in a while but i would say mid 200's
PR bench  from 195 got, 205

no significant change in vert though so far but maybe that will start coming in the weeks to come
so far maybe about an inch gained

will post again when i get closer to finishing or finsh

Which program are you referring to of ACs? How did they make it shitty?  What made you decide it wasn't worth it?

Never read one of AC's programs so that crappiness was all compiled by my knowledge Smiley  Thanks!  We have had a pretty solid success rate, and there isn't much out there that is more extensive than VF.

you mean you are seriously telling me you've never read the super hero starter set?

i wonder if it tells you to run meets anonymously with a fake ID, so that you can not have any pressure when running a 10.5.... anonymously.

Long ago (about 5 months ago), Sad I was a fan of Adam Link because of his story about his journey from a humble 'farm' boy to an astonishing 7 time ACC gold medalist. I decided to try out his program to help me achieve my own dreams on dunking. And because the review on verticaljumping.com by Jack Woodrup on Become a Freak say that the program is decent, I bought it. I didn't know by then that I will waste my money ($77 which is around P3200 in the Philippines which is a lot.). I had high expectations on the program.

It increased my squatting capacity by 15kls within 1 and a half months (100kls-115kls) but it was a newbie gain. During those months, I also increased my weight by 4kls which almost canceled out my relative strength gains. The plyometric exercises was too much high volume for one work-out. (see my log) I'm better of doing the Intro Block by Adarqui which after a month, I can do 115kls x5 (not max) and an inch or so higher with my vert.

And the information inside the program is not terrific as reviewed on verticaljumping.com it was horrific. The info about nutrition was just one paragraph, same with most of the sections. (Maybe except with the Jumping Technique but other info was very horrible.) I think he just did the whole program within an hour. I was better off reading VJB than VF 2.0. I'd be better off reading this site's info than that of VF 2.0 that's full of Adam links Opinion with no back-up research.

I only did the Beginner Explosive Work-out for 11 weeks because I didn't saw any gains and took the 12th week off. I gained almost nothing(Less than half an inch). The hard-work put in it is not worth the hardships(obviously).  And Adam Link, before he joined the f-ing Maroko Scammer Group, sold his program for only $20 (I just discovered this from a post by an Adarq.org member) and now selling it for $77. What a rip off. I should have bought Prof. Verhosh's (don't know how to spell it) book, Super Training.

I don't recommend the Become a Freak to anyone. To all newbie like me who wants a shortcut and a 50 inch vert (like adam's, who I think is a genetic dunker), don't buy VF 2.0 and live the reality that there is NO shortcut only sickening perseverance and will. Look at adarqui, his passion is to have a 47 inch vert and after a year of hard training his almost there. Don't look up on Adam, you'll be fooled, instead look up on Adarqui and other members of this forum as your idol and inspiration. Follow Adarqui's words and training principles and your soul will be saved.

I never understood why you'd ever buy a program. There's the internet nowadays, tons of free info available, and when you think about it, it's not even that complicated. Get your squat up, practice your jumps and overload the movement with depth jumps/bounds/sprints and that's pretty much it. Get bodyfat down if it's high and that's it.

I agree with that now. But not 18 months ago when I had fark all training experience and less knowledge about the ins and outs of jump training. Takes ages and lots of reading and experimenting to be smarter than a good program. Easy to do all the wrong things as a newbie with heaps of random info.

I started out with vjb. Best $40 I ever spent. Outgrown it a bit now but I'd still recommend it to anyone as the first point of truth.

Yeah, VJB was the first and only thing I ever bought, with a friend, VJ-related wise.

I didn't understand myself too, then. I admit, I was wrong. I wanted a shortcut. I wanted to get 4-8 inches within 3 months and I thought VF2.0 will give that. With the hype of Adam Link, having 50 inches vert,I thought this will give me my dream. I didn't know adarq.org by then. I only discovered this forum, 3 weeks after I bought the program. Still I was hoping to finish the program and gain the inches but abviuosly I didn't. I thought by then that what I was doing was great, and I was in the right path. But the results shows otherwise. I made my mistake and paying for it. Cry

I had VJB before VF2.0 but I was not contended because, frankly, I jsut downloaded VJB in torrent. And my gains are not consistent due to my poor consistency and have no faith in VJB thinking it was not enough and thinking there is a better alternative which is VF 2.0 that will give me better result. Then again I was wrong.

Owell, life is shit and hard. Need to learn from mistakes. Which is what I'm doing now. Wink
