Dunks have been going sick getting 8-9 inches above the rim on better jumps really been throwing it down with authority off two feet. Been doing alot of two hand dunks and one hand. Single leg getting some good jumps its really easy for me to palm now so I just kinda glide in a throw it down. Thrusday and Friday I had about 10-15 dunks each of those days.

On thrusday and Friday I was jumping 32-33 inches consistantly I know that is my new set point now (meaning I can hit it on any given day.)

damn that's sick! ya it feels great when you get that "new set point" as you call it.. that's when you know you're ready to PR some big jumps.. i always found my jump peak to drop a little as my 'avg jumping went up', then i'd really stim for a session and obtain a new peak.

I've been feeling really beat up this week so I have a annoucement with all these scrimmages and skill work I need to mantain my strength the season is about 2 months away and its time to start getting in better basketball shape working on my skills more.
so i'm gonna take the rest of this week off and cut my weightroom work to two days.

So i'm gonna do a stim day with the squats and some upperbody and a legs day but i'm  not going to push it on the leg just maintance.

I'll still post but the majority of posts well be about basketball and jumping

nice man, still look forward to reading that.. just make sure not to get lazy with the strength-maintenance stuff. When it comes to the NEXT off-season, it really is a huge difference when strength is maintained in-season. When strength maintenance is neglected in-season, every off-season just ends up bringing you back to the same spot, results in spinning the wheels.

Monday september 20th/10

Prolific Shooting Week 5 day 1: repetition
Decent day shooting gotta focus and keeping a straight line with my body and getting in my shooting pocket.
Effective handle single ball foul court mutiple drills:
was really out of a breath after this that ok though my handles are going to be tight this season

tuesday september. 21st
Prolific shooting week 5 day 2: quickness
it was a decent shooting session coulda been better but i was shooting consistantly from my shooting pocket and maintaining a somewhat straight line with my body. These are two things I'm really going to focus on when i'm shooting for the next couple weeks
-straight body kness, hips, shoulders toes, head and follow through facing the rim. When i do this my shooting percentage goes up considerably.

-shoot from the same spot in the pocket its all about consistantly a great shooter shoots from the same spot everytime!

September 22nd/10 Wednesday

7-9pm Regional Training center. A basketball training camp that runs september to mid december. Workouts arn't to demanding at the moment. I'm the best player there but its good to brush up on the fundamentals and work on footwork. Decent competition there as well. It was a pretty easy day at the camp today

Single ball movement Dribbling Effective Handle: was much easier today getting better at this.

Need to focus when i'm doing everything 100% effort

Thrusday september 23rd/10 12pm to 12.30pm
did some max effort jumps of 1 leg 15-20 dunks gotta a couple decent two handers
did some max effort jumps off 2 legs was not feeling it lol got about 5 ok 1 handers

I was getting up throwing down hard like ball hitting the ground soon after or before i did.Probably one of my best jumping sessions off 1 leg. I was hitting a 2-4 inches below the wrist on some of them.

There were way too many kids in the gym (we have a three basketball court gym) all little kids mostly freshmen. Anyways i'm doing my thang dunking and stuff and these three kids are like "can we shot at your hoop?"
I say " I guess"
So there shooting I go for my first dunk with them there get it. Its clean its a good dunk. All one kid has to say is
" You took three steps, you traveled"
This kid is like 5 foot nothing and 100 pounds and all he has is criticism I think to myself WTF. I don't respond. So next attempt I make sure i take two steps making sure i don't travel. I attack the rim and fucking power it home. I say
"hows that"
And ignore them after that

moral of the story haters gonna hate.

getting so much deeper now that i'm doing a lot more dynamic stretching.

abs finally maning up and doing them
lol the only way i summon motivation is to think of how girls with be alll over my "hot abz" Grin

renegade rows 20lbs 3x10

lying down leg raises and lowers lol (dunno the exercises name) when i keep my lower back on the floor and do these my abs feel like there going to explode. Thats good though

Aight when i'm dunking in games i really need to focus on the pendulum step because thats how i jump my highest. 90% the time though in games i'm strength jumping which i'm still good at but pendulum step is the best way for me to jump so just writing it down so i can remember
