@dunkingfreak Team in another city, Rotterdam Basketball, what's your plan for upcomming season? Been putting in work. About 2/3 shooting sessions a day. Two power lifting sessions I didn't log (clean jerk up to 80/85 again), cleaning etc and a good upper body one. (bench 90 x 8 ). Also, got a pretty clean 2 legged, two handed dunk down off the dribble @ 9'10+ Could barely dunk an alleyoop off two a month ago, almost there. Heavy legs today, going for. 5 x 5 box squat with 160+. 3 x 5 BSS with 42 5 x 5 GHR, at least 2 all natural ones a set. 3 x 10 calf raises 2 x 15 Barbell rollouts

Make local unversity team try to make it to 8-10 spot on the roster. I'm on the brink to getting there just need to correct some things in my game. If coach says Josh you can play but your going to be like 10-13 in rotation i'll ask to redshirt because I don't want to waste a year on the bench playing like 5 mins a game. If I was to redshirt next year I think I would have good shot of winning rookie of the year in the league so I have couple of plans down bottom line I want to play at least like 10-15 minutes a game otherwise i'm probably better off redshirting working on my skills for a year (which I love to do) then killing it the next year and opening up some doors for myself. Good luck on tryouts man you'll kill it

Guess so bro! Ain't the dude to get tatted up but I need to remind myself constantly as well. Overheard Kobe quoting Babe Ruth; 'I swing big, with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big, doesn't matter that much to me.' It's more about the swing and all about being ferociously focussed. Anyway. Hops are off the chain, slamming in tomahawks these days. Drive is getting better because of the 13073 tips I'm getting from that D1 friend, shot is wet but not as consistent, still need to work on decision making and making that extra dribble to keep my options open, get into my 1-2 step too early and my steps are too soft as well. two/three a days still, nothing but progress. Pce

Allright, some bad news. Won't be playing at Rotterdam next year, went to try outs and well, let's just say the situation is complicated. Didn't KILL it, didn't play bad either, dudes they did pick weren't any better than I was, must've been my history with that club or smth, sensed a lot of politricks going on. Kinda mad and disappointed but I know I can't change any of it. Got to keep moving. Won an international tourney w. a couple of friends. Was a lot of fun. Didn't dominate the tournament like I should have untill the finals, had a couple of nice plays there. Buzzer beaters, drives n dimes. Got like 7 steals, too. Been watching the video posted below again and really thinking about life; about what I want and why I can't seem to reach goals others do while I 'work' 3 times as hard and poses greater talent. I know it's about a lack of confidence and mostly a lack of will. And I've been able to turn it around nicely these last couple of years, but not all the way, apparently. I'm not one of the most dominant player in my country while I should be amongst them skill, smarts and athletic-wise. Food for thought.

Food for thought. thats one of my problems also:/ especially at real games. in pickups , 1on1 I dominate. when its gametime , I lose all my confidence etc. I just care too much what others will think about me when I do something stupid.

Sup fellas. Decided to dim down on the internetting a bit, worked like a charm, but should have kept on updating this. Doing pretty damn good. Had a long try-out season, didn't make it pro due to 2 clubs actually going bankrupt and 1 club declining me due to politics. Did good at the try-outs, so I'm good with it. Playing 2nd division on a new team where I'm the core player. Had my first game last week and dropped 20 (8/10) n 7 ast, plus 2 fts for the game, got it on tape. This past weekend dropped 18 n 8 against our country's national backup pg, outplayed him, first half had 13 on 1 miss and about 2 assists, crossed a lot of dudes up but twisted my ankle at the end of the quarter though. Played through it but wasn't as effective, lost by 15 eventually. Lot of people came to me after the game and gave me daps, even the opposing coaches that dissed me a while ago. Lost sucks, but game felt good, got it on tape. Back to lifting weights again after only doing maintainance work during all those try-outs. Going to update this sh*t again. Oh. my vert? Banging dunks easily. can dunk off one w a two/three step run-up now, consistant as hell, hard tomahawks from the neck when I'm feeling it. Also dunked a ball off two feet on 10 foot, wasn't pretty, but I got it down w two hands, close to getting em off the dribble. Back to loggin, lets get it!

I don't get it - I knew you could dunk really well so I don't understand how you can just now dunk off two or three steps? You couldn't before?

@ raptor Allways felt I needed a good runup to get up, now I just got real relaxed and can get up frommore versatile situations. @ Cowed, dude was looking for a team, no team paid him what he wanted, so he quit and returned to d2 level. Doing good. Box squat is back to 160. Bench press is at 100. Hops real decent, no real progression since try out season, going after it again right now. Played 4 games this season, averaging 17 points and 8+ assists (+ 2 steals, couple o boards and 2 charges), we're 2-2 right now. Had 2 GREAT first halves where I dropped 15 and 17 without missing in a zone state, but I haven't pushed through to a 40-ish point outing yet, both games I turned that coaching mode on again second half. Got a great talk from a couple of friends/fans. They came and watched me play one of those first halves and were excited but they KNEW I wasn't going to push through. After the game, dudes grabbed me by the neck and told me they'd seen enough. "It's your time to shine, why ain't you dropping 40 yet? fuck you so shy for?" type of talk, needed that. Playing an international tourney atm, just played a team from Iran, dudes we're pro, got paid, seven footers, scouts etc you could tell. We basically had a bunch of scraps (6'6 max?) no-name players that are far from that level but somehow we stayed hot and in the game, lost by 10, our game plan being give Jard the ball and let him go to work for 40 minutes, worked out pretty well. I couldn't be stopped, didn't have a lot of points (15?) but I was just carving up their defense and dishing everywhere. My handle is too good, I'm too quick, too strong and explosive and my shot is great as well (fg% @ 70%). Didn't finish my open looks at the rim or I would have had about 25, missed open layups cause I didn't stay calm. Also have too many turnovers. I can now beat any man with ease, but I either forget my midrange or force a pass way too often. Have about 2 and1's a game, but I need to put that step back and pullup J to use a lot better. Get smarter. Met a friend that used to play pro, he's well connected and told me he's heard plenty of pro players I played this summer say I should be playing pro and getting about 20 minutes a game. Got some great mental tips from him as well. It's time.

quick little update. finished the tournament, avged 20 a game, got us 5th place. Also, kinda dunken on someone Full court 1-1 D, stripped him clean, got the ball @ the top of 3 pt line, took 1 dribble and two steps and rattled it in from the right with him jumping from the left to block it. No call and and to be honest it wasn't much of a dunk but I def pushed the ball down and touched the rim. Didn't dunk at all during warmups (no time, long story) so I wasn't as comfortable going up all the way but I def got above the rim. Not going to count it as my 1st poster, but the pic def would have been nice. That is all. Big game tomorrow, old team. Let's GET IT!
