Then I recommend doing a marathon run. It's hard, it's 40 km of slow tempo run, but heck, it's hard and it's only going to help since it's hard. Let me ask you something else: What's more likely to happen: 1) You, who can do 500 submaximal jumps be able to squat 2x and jump 40 inches or 2) Frank Yang, who (used to) squat 2x+ and jump 40 inches be able to do 500 submaximal jumps? What's more likely to happen: 1) A 10 year old family car capable of covering 500 km at 30 mph winning a formula 1 race or 2) A F1 car covering a 500 km distance (with plenty of re-fuels )? See where I'm getting with this? Listen... Maybe you are right, but like i said i am just a regular guy who wants to got decent jump.I saw planty of people doing this program. Maybe i dont know to explain how did i gain these few inches doing it but i got them, and i saw few other people that also gained much more when they finished it. And at the end of this i will listen advice of an expirianced man, who know what im a supposed to do, all i wanted is to run this program to the end, it would be very crappy to cancel it at this point but heck! if its needed then it shall be done!

I've seen people take cocaine and they said they're feeling great. I've seen people get drunk and say "man I feel so great". Is that the right thing for me? If you do something, it better be for a logical reason.

ya im not a fan of doing air alert, especially when it's being performed during an in-season sport like basketball/volleyball, that can easily lead to tendonitis issues etc.. i remember saying, in mixerioza's original intro, that he should definitely listen to his body because of the tendonitis/overuse injuries issue, sounds like they might be creeping up which isn't a good thing.. anyway, when mixerioza does turn to weight training, that's where he will see most of his gains, as long as he's making gains in his strength/lean mass, so ya, raptor is right. peace

Hey , Andrew , have you actually seen the AA template? I mean i also tried to tell this kid to stop AA and do something more constructive and i was surprised to see you are not so much against it. Especially for a young kid with no strength training background , the volume this program calls is insane. Take a look at this , i just googled it and it came up , remove it if you think there are copyright problems: So take a look at week 7 ( middle of programm ): 4x30 ME tuck jumps ( that is leap ups ) 2x40 single leg BW calve raises 2x25 explosive SL stepups ( this calls for a ~18'' box stepup including a ME jump at the end of it , 25 reps EACH leg! ) 2x50 ME pogo Jumps ( that's the thrust ups ) 2x350 jump rope ( that's burnouts , 2-3'' jumps with locked knees ) And that's supposed to be done 3 times a week!!!! And at the end ( last week ) it is: 8x50 ME tucks 5x40 SL calve raises 4x25 explosive stepups 4x50 ME pogos 5x300 jump rope Shit is dangerous man , no joke!!! I just thought you wouldn't have seen the actual template , maybe now you'll be more harsh on it... Just saying...

I just thought you wouldn't have seen the actual template , maybe now you'll be more harsh on it... Just saying... ya i hadn't seen that in a while.. none of that shit is ME to me though, you accumulate too much fatigue and mentally are just burnt, so all of that shit is submax.. even if you tried to ME it, you can't, given the rep ranges.. it's just a big submax clusterfuck of reactive exercises and a few bw exercises.. the thing with my 'listen to your body' approach, is that i don't think hardly anyone could get through that progression if they listened to how their body felt.. aches/tendonitis issues etc are bound to happen, so that little "listen to your body" statement should have been the trigger to stopping the program once he started feeling knee aches etc, especially considering he's in season. if someone was to feel real good on that program, no aches, no 'strains', no tendonitis, no issues at all, then i wouldn't be against them doing it, i've done volume that makes air alert look like wimp alert, but i was prepared for it and I was ready to stop as soon as I felt/experienced any issue. Air alert in season is just not smart at all, I just don't see how, if someone "listened to their body", would be able to do air alert past the midway point.. That little clause can help you stay safe in a variety of really shitty/nutty programs.. Air alert has a progression which should allow you to realize when you're overdoing it, most people just push right through though, and they end up f**kd. Anyway, I would never recommend someone to do air alert, why anyone would want to do that stupid shit is beyond me. lol peace man

The first few weeks of AA could work for untrained persons in jumping, say for powerlifter that want to jump etc, who already have the strength. If you're not in that category, and even if you are, you'd be better off with maximal approach jumps everyday, heck, I did that in the past. But I never done jumping without a goal (goal to touch, like a rim or something), unless it's "advanced" jumping like bounding and depth jumping etc. I've only did low intensity jumping like step-up jumps and ricochets etc for a little while.

Word, they are prescribed as ME but its impossible , so it ends up ultra high-volume submax. the thing with my 'listen to your body' approach, is that i don't think hardly anyone could get through that progression if they listened to how their body felt.. aches/tendonitis issues etc are bound to happen, so that little "listen to your body" statement should have been the trigger to stopping the program once he started feeling knee aches etc, especially considering he's in season.

peace man
Now youre talking! I guess people that want to do it are people with limited training knowledge that fall for the hype. No gym , just a bunch of jumps and in 4 months 8-14'' more , BAM! It seems 'logic' , "to jump higher u need to jump a lot". We've all been there , then we saw the truth ( squat rack ).

I can train 2 days lower body and 1 day per week upper body. Except these exercises for legs: - SQUAT: 45 lb. BAR @ 4x5, work up to a same-weight per set 4x10, 60 seconds rest in between sets - UNILATERAL: 3 x 10 each leg, 60 seconds rest in between sets - CALF RAISES: Light, 3x10, 60 seconds rest between sets I can do some leg press machine exercise, seated hamstring machine exercise and some calf rises with weight. Got few questions, core=3 exercises done for 30 seconds?(which 3), or repat 3 times exercises that i wrote before? And is there any problem with upper body to do exercise with my gym trainer because i usually do same exercises which he shows me for upper body and i alredy know the procedure. And i should do these exercises as long as i gain results? That would be it

Got few questions, core=3 exercises done for 30 seconds?(which 3), or repat 3 times exercises that i wrote before?
3 core/abdominal exercises done back 2 back, 30 seconds each, done for 3 rotations.. 1min rest after each rotation.. you can do anything for core though, those were just some suggestions in the article. And is there any problem with upper body to do exercise with my gym trainer because i usually do same exercises which he shows me for upper body and i alredy know the procedure. And i should do these exercises as long as i gain results?
sure, long as you're getting stronger on dips/pullups. That would be it pc This is one of the funniest logs, I have to say. You can do all the exercises BESIDES THE EXERCISES. lol
