That said, its not easy to give up a dream.

Letting go of something you've wanted for as long as you can remember... its tough.

But sometimes confronting reality gives you a sense of peace and serenity.

It's extremely bittersweet.

Maybe you guys can share experiences where you've dealt with the reality that you won't achieve something, especially when it comes to sports.

That would make me feel better

Nobody asked u to set such a lofty goal man.

Mayb u can just reassess, and change it to making ur d1 team first, den mayb u can get to euro ball or something. Even tt first step of d1 ball is tough enough lmao.

Of cos, it's easier to just give up and drop everything. Hopefully u don't regret it man.

I have been doing so much thinking lately.

I just have come to a realization that has brought me peace of mind.

I'm not going to make it to the NBA.  I'm just not.

So I'm just going to enjoy my freaking life.  This past week has been an awesome week.  I've spent tons of time with my friends and working and getting stuff done for college.
I just know that at the end of the day, what matters to me is being happy, and bringing joy to other people in the world.

My previous posts might contradict this, but whatever.

I might still post my training on adarq, but I'm gonna focus more on my life outside of fitness.

Lol who says you can't enjoy your life and be great at the same time. Lol you think we just sit in the gym all day. The vast majority of people on this site have a life outside of the gym that we hold down. You know how we do that.... through dedication we make time for our passions.. while still leading successful lifes outside of the gym. Sure their are sacrfices to make but that is all just part of the fucking game, No one is going to congratulate you because you've decided you want to be average.

To put it frank do us all a favour and don't come back you obviously hold different goals and values than the vast majority of people on this site.

Adarq I just want you to know that you're awesome.  You're the fucking man.  just keep doing you because thats really what matters.  Keep training hard and getting results because you're an inspiration to a lot of people.  You have definitely been a good example for people who want to make progress athletically.  Keep beasting those squats and tearing up those rims.  I know you have the bounce to do a windmill, so I just throw one in there to silence all the haters!!  I know it sounds funny coming from me because I probably drank the most haterade on this site.  But anyways, I'm gonna keep watching your videos and what not.

Basically, I need to stop toying with childish dreams because I really don't have the time or work ethic to make it.  I really love my life and I'm going to enjoy alot of other things now that I'm not so worried about basketball stuff.

Everybody on adarq keep working your asses off!

All I said is that I'm going to put less focus on athletics than I have been.  You don't know my fucking story, so you can't judge me.

You guys are REALLY BIG MEN because you can gang up on me and rag on me.

Oh, and I want to be average?  Don't put words into my mouth.  I'm still going to train a lot harder than a bunch of people on this site.  I'm starting smolov this week.

Also, if you could please sir, tell me how you are above average!  Have I ever heard of you? are you ranked in any sport?  or do you just spend your time on adarq talking about how above-average you are?  I'm not going to judge you though, because I don't know your story either!

Keep training dunkingfreak.   you obviously have a passion for what you do.

I've lost the passion.  Not the drive, not the discipline, not the will.  But without a passion for something... all these attributes are useless.  I'm going to use them to excel in other ways.
