ya you could definitely try that program out, it's basically 3 months, not 4, nov/dec/jan.. the 4th month was meant for his in-season basketball.. also, this routine is much more of a lower body emphasis.. some of those workouts might not fit your time limits, i dno.. the GPP A & B can leave you pretty sore too, once you adapt it won't be as bad, but initially it would effect your basketball/jumping etc. the first workout would be a GPP workout, which is GPP A, which is really intense.. GPP BLOCK: GPP session A: - WARMUP - SL OR DL BOUNDING PROGRESSION: double leg bounds, emphasis on max height not distance: 5 x 5 - REACTIVE-ASSISTANCE: pogos: 4x5 - PREHAB: SHOULDER + VMO + LOWBACK - LOWER-1: squat: 3-4x8-10 - S1: PUSH-1: 3x8 S1: PULL-1: 3x8 - LOWER-2: walking lunges: 3x5 each leg - S2: PUSH-2: 3x8 S2: PULL-2: 3x8 - LOWER-3: 18" stepups: 3x5 each leg - S3: PUSH-3: dips x AF S3: PULL-3: pullups 3 x AF - CALF RAISE: - CORE AF = almost failure.. i didn't put in i didn't put anything in for push-1/pull-1 and push-2/pull-2 because you could pick whatever, for example, for push-1: db bench, pull-1: seated row, push-2: incline db bench, pull-2: one arm row.. etc GPP B would be similar.. then you have it right for GPP Strength A below, what you filled out is good.. so basically, your workouts would go like: GPP A GPP B GPP STRENGTH A GPP Skilled overload repeat x ~4 times then you'd move onto next phase, strength emphasis. peace man So that would mean my workout tomorrow would look like: GPP BLOCK: STRENGTH session lower A: - WARMUP - REACTIVE-ASSISTANCE: Stiff Leg Ankle hops: 3 x 5 - PREHAB: SHOULDER + VMO + LOWBACK - Band Work?? - BB SQUAT: Work up to near 5 rep max - Goal=275 lbs - WALKING LUNGE: 2 x 5 x 50 lbs DBs - WEIGHTED RFI-EXERCISE: Lateral Line Hops: 3 x 25 each side (max speed) - CALF RAISES: BB Standing Calf Raise 4 x 5 x 225 lbs - CORE: Hanging Leg Raise: 3 x 10 with last one for max static hold Full rest between sets. I'm assuming the prehab is just mobility kind of stuff, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I'll give this a shot and see how it goes.

Cool. I hit that workout this morning (GPP Strength Session: Lower A) and it was a lot of stuff but I liked it. It's nice to have a schedule and a goal for each workout. I like the lower body focus too, mainly because I still want to strengthen my knee and ankles. I got all of the weights I wanted this morning so I feel good.

Gracias. I hit up the GPP Session A this morning. I was soaking wet with sweat when I left the gym. I weighed 199 lbs this morning! WHAT WHAT, under 200! Oh, and my groin and arse were still tight and sore after rolling and stretching last night. 22 Nov 10GPP BLOCK: GPP session A:- WARMUP: Kicks, knee raises, and butt kicks - SL OR DL BOUNDING PROGRESSION: Multi response double leg bounds: 4 sets of 5 bounds, submaximal - REACTIVE-ASSISTANCE: Stiff leg ankle hops: 3x5 - PREHAB: SHOULDER + ANKLE, I did some weighted throws and ankle mobility. - LOWER-1: BB Squat = 3x8 225 lbs, weight was good, a lot of volume. - S1: PUSH-1 Flat BB Bench = 3x8 155lbs, Good weight, could have done more - S1: PULL-1 Pullups: 3x8, probably do 10 next time, I'm kipping though so I may start dead hangs. - LOWER-2: DB Walking lunge = 3x8 each leg 40lbs, holy Sh-nikes! These were brutal. - S2: PUSH-2 Seated Shoulder Press = 3x8 135lbs, Good weight, maybe could have done 140 but that would have been pushing it. - S2: PULL-2 Seated row: 3x8 95lbs, A little easy, probably gonna do bent over rows next time. - LOWER-3: DB 18" stepups: 3x8 each leg 40lbs, had to drop to 20 lbs after the first set. Freakin tough! - S3: PUSH-3 Pushups = 3x30, tougher than I thought. Guess I was just tired. - S3: PULL- Hanging High Pull: 3x8 45lbs, Not bad, probably gonna do 65 lbs next time. - CALF RAISE: Leg Press Calf raise: 4x10 230 lbs, Not bad weight. - CORE: Weighted Crunches: 3 x 10 65 lbs, Too easy, I think I'll do them on the Roman Chair next time. A lot tougher than I thought it would be. I also did each group of three as a big super set. Not sure if I was supposed to do that but it felt good, and saved time. It took a little over an hour in the gym, but I think I can maintain this amount of activity. Gonna work the mobility and flexibility tonight.

awesome man, you're a beast.. great work on all sets/lifts. as for the big superset of all 3, you're not supposed too, but it's fine, don't worry about it.. it's GPP regardless. The only reason the lower exercise was not listed in the superset, was to give it more emphasis.. To save a bit of energy for it.. but you have time constraints also, and it'll be fine. peace man!

if you can't find any weights, just bodyweight it up.. 4 x 25-50 each leg on walking lunges, dips/pushups + pullups/chinups superset.. calf raises.. etc otherwise, just relax and watch football :d all of the tryptophan in the turkey isn't going to help any.. hah pc

I hear that! Hey, what the hell is BSS (Bulgarian Split Squat)? Also, what is DL LBJ as the reactive exercise? Is there anywhere that lays out all these acronyms?

ya bss = bulgarian.. DL LBJ = double leg lateral barrier jump.. i think i deleted my lateral barrier jump video too but theirs a bunch on youtube.. you don't even need a barrier though, just going side to side is enough to do it right. i need to lay out the acronyms in the exercise index, for sure.

OK, so I've been with the fam for Thanksgiving and on a cruise for week! WHAT WHAT!!! Anyhow, I tried to do the best I could do.
nice! sounds fun, where did you go? We went to Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico. It was fun, but I'm freakin payin for it now. If I could I'd walk around with a toilet strapped to my @$$, I would! It killed my attempt at a workout this morning. Here's what I managed: 3 Dec 10GPP BLOCK: GPP session B: - WARMUP - SL BOUNDING PROGRESSION: alternate single leg bound = (Couldn't do because every time I jump, I had to take a duece!) - PREHAB: SHOULDER + VMO + LOWBACK - LOWER-1: Box Squat = 245 4 x 8, Did one at this weight, then dropped to 225 and did 5 more, then dropped to 185 for the rest and it was still freakin tough. I was strugglin! - S1: PUSH-1: BB Flat Bench Press 185 lbs = 3 x 8, Actually felt pretty good about these. S1: PULL-1: Hanging High Pulls 65 lbs = 3x8, a little too easy, maybe I'll try 95 lbs next time. - LOWER-2: Deadlift = 225 lbs 3 x 8, Only made it through 2 sets before I was running to the bathroom, and my heart was pounding the entire time. WTF!!!!! - S2: PUSH-2: Incline BB Bench press = 155 lbs 3x8 S2: PULL-2: Lat Pulls = 90 3x8 (Got through 1 set before I called it a day. I SUCK!!!) - S3: TRICEP: EZ Bar Skull Crushers = 45 lbs 3 x 8 S3: BICEP: EZ Bar Bicep Curl: 45 lbs 3 x 8 S3: SHOULDERS: Front+Lat DB raise matrix: 15 lbs 3 x 8 Didn't do because I left. My vagina still hurts. I think I got some sand in there. Man, I need to sack up and get back to work.

OK, so I played ball last night and I played pretty good. Granted the comp was pretty weak but it was all 20 yr old Air Force kids and all they do is run and bang. Anyhow, there was only maybe one or two players on the court but I still had fun. However, playing with people that have a lot of energy and very little skill means two things: 1) Your game will suffer just because they drag you down 2) You will get hurt!!! I now have a swollen busted lip from an out of control elbow, a swollen jammed finger, and a sore knee. I love to play but I hate it when folks just slam into each other with no control or even reason! Anyhow, I decided to do some jumps and I was getting to the bottom of my palm on the rim. Then I decided to throw myself some oops and I was really close to putting one down. I love wooden floors, it's like a spring board! I only tried 5 times and really close when I caught it with 2 hands and tried to dunk with one. I think I need to practice my oops more, I think if I could put the ball closer to the rim I could put it down. 4 DEC 10I decided to forgo the run this morning at PT because my knee is still pretty tender. It hurts just under my knee in the front where they took the patellar graft from. Whatever! I did the upper body portion of the workout, that I didn't do on Friday. - S1: PUSH-1: BB Flat Bench Press 205 lbs = 3 x 5, Heavy! I need to hit these more. S1: PULL-1: Pullups = 5x8. - S2: PUSH-2: Incline BB Bench press = 155 lbs 3x8 S2: PULL-2: Hanging High Pulls: 75 lbs 3 x 8, good weight - S3: TRICEP: BB OH Extensions = 45 lbs 3 x 8 S3: BICEP: BB Bicep Curl: 45 lbs 3 x 8 S3: SHOULDERS: Front+Lat DB raise matrix: 15 lbs 3 x 8
