Tonights workout

Trap-bar DL
1 X 3 295lbs
1 X 3 305lbs
4 X 3 315lbs
1 X 7 325lbs (went to failure)

Incline bench
2 X 8 165lbs
1 X 7 165lbs

Walking lunges
3 X 8 steps (each leg) 100lbs

Steep decline situps
1 X 4 20lbs
2 X 3 20lbs
First of all I think your good for mid 400's on trap bar dl...did you guys just do it from the ground this time or were these still deficit?
And  about the walking lunges, I stopped doing them since I heard rumors of them being bad for knees, not saying to stop just maybe check that out.

damn who told you that? walking lunges have actually helped many of my knee problems.. i'd say they are great for the knees and overall glute/ham strength, just can't do them "short", they have to be wide, but not so wide that you have to push backwards or shift forwards at the knee to initiate hip extension.. you can actually build quite a bit of strength just doing high rep bodyweight lunges too, if you're afraid/concerned to load that movement up.

well, the knees over toe thing is "overrated", because you can still recruit more glute/ham by how you hip extend from that position.. in general ya, don't want knees going over toes, i perform most of my lunges (lighter ones) landing on the ball of my foot for the front foot, so, that needs some knee-over-toe action, but if i were doing them real heavy i'd be flat foot with near perpendicular shin.. most people who dunk have there knees go over the toes in the plant, and that doesn't generally contribute to future knee issues, think about the forces in the plant.. so ya it can be overblown a bit by people who just see knees over toes and freak out :d

if you "feel it in your knee" then ya, not good..

right knee doesnt feel right today   Sad  it was clicking when i was walking to class.  im gonna take a week or so off, and try this heat therapy thing i was doing over the summer that helped.  this is getting really annoying i dunno what i keep doing that is making it worse.....
