Ok, thanks adarq, I'll do that when the time comes.

Wasn't supposed to workout today, but pushed things forward because were leaving for a basketball tournament Friday morning. Really tired during today's workout. No soreness, just tired, like I wanted to walk over to the bench and fall asleep on it. Didn't do Flying Stepups or Leg Raises, mainly because of tiredness and basketball practice tonight.

Push Jerk- (85 lbs) 45 lbs x 10 x 3 sets (First time doing this)
Squats- 75 lbs x 10 x 3 sets
Flying Step Ups-
Hanging Leg Raises-

when you're that tired, things like push jerk/oly movements/explosive lifts because almost useless, other lifts are fine, just have to do them nice and controlled.

"Now Cornell University neurobiologists, studying the adrenal glands of rats, have discovered how chronic stress cranks up the intensity of this adrenaline response. The key to this so-called molecular memory resides in a donut-shaped protein on the surface of cells that secrete adrenaline, the hormone also known as epinephrine."

PED's in drug free sports is cheating, unethical, and weak. Athletes and/or coaches who condone/display this behavior can get lost.

"But you have never felt the burn that you get in the hip flexors from pulling back on the pedal stroke, you have never done the exercise in your life. Squatting ain't doing shit for your hip flexors blu." -- sickenin vendetta.

I wanted to update my journal so that everyone didn't think I quit, I just haven't been posting here at all which is my bad. Anyways, my basketball team won OFSAA for AA in Ontario, which is best in the province for our school size. It was amazing, unforunately I didn't play much but nonetheless, it was an unbeliveable experience. Right as basketball finished, I started a course at school where you train to run a half a marathon in Ottawa with 10,000 people. My goals of basketball and vertical jump trainging have not ceased but are just on hold until my course ends which is in two weeks when the half marathon is. I've also been doing track and field which is new to me. So currently I'm about 6 foot 1 and 140 lbs or around there. I haven't measured my vertical in a while but I can grab rim. As for weightlifting, I haven't done really any legs work because of all my running lately, but I have just maintained my upper body, which is still weak. I plan do complete my half marathon in under 1:35:00, since I did 18km in 1:21:50 so I think its quite achieveable. Here are my track times from our meet today:

3000m - 11:11
1500m - 5:05
800m- 2:30

This was my first time doing track since elementary school, and I'm in Grade 11 by the way. I got beat pretty bad which is no surprise but I think I can really improve my times and I'd love to keep doing track in the future since I'm really starting to enjoy running. Anyways, this was just an update to show that I'm still here.
