love that hoop, for a home hoop it's pretty badass.. ncie dunk as i've commented on vid, i thought i remembered seeing you do that knee bend in your old dunk vid? you're actually thinking about doing that? the knee bend just don't let not hitting those goals for this month effect you negatively, after all, they are manufactured out of thin air regardless how well we try to predict/conform to them.. keep up the hard work mang. pc

Yea man, I don't do it normally...gotta actually do it intentionally. Usually my legs are dead straight or else they just pop out to the side a little bit. The hoop is awesome. It's at my girl's place...gonna bring it up a little bit this week. It says it's at 10 foot right now but i'm sceptical. As for the goals..i'm not too worried. My weight is at like 73.5kg now aswell. I'm still jumping just aswell so not looking to bring it back down. I look just as lean so it's either muscle or glycogen anyway. I might look at cutting a little bit when I get home from America though - food is too good here to be dieting all the damn time!

Went in on the squats today - Squat - 115kg x 5, 115kg x 5, 115kg x 5, 115kg x 5. Flexibility/mobility work. Played ball after..played pretty well until I got hit - leg was dead for the rest of it...some big dude was talking shit to me...grabbed a board over him and had 4 assists and a basket in a 9-7 loss. Getting healed up and i'm gonna murder this dudes team on Fri.

Thanks..hoping I can equal it on Monday...My quad is dead. That hit I took was worse than I thought. 2 days later and it's still hella sore to stretch/contract my quad...Gonna keep icing, massaging and stretching and hoping I don't get any scare tissue building up in the muscle - kinda weird cos I've no bruising at all yet.

Piled on a bunch of weight over the 4 days...i'd say it was cause of that injury and being demoralised but to be honest it was just me being a fucking a idiot...Weighed in at 75.5kg today, need to get that back down to around 73....not happy w/this shit. On the upside I was jumping just aswell today...still nearly putting down dunks. I'm gonna need to get really serious about my training if its ever gonna happen though and I don't see myself having that opportunity until April because i'm gonna be moving about/too busy until then. Just need to make sure I at least maintain the strength/hops I got at the moment.

Weight was down to 73.5 kg and back up to 75kg again today...Lifted upper body which i'm not gonna bother to log until I get into a proper consistent training routine again in April/May. Got lower body workout in today. Squat - Warmup, 120kg x 3 (looking to move this up slowly), 110kg x 5, 110kg x 5, 110kg x 5, 115kg x 5. Ab circuit. Light pylos - Some fullcourt basketball. Dunno if i'm gonna hit any of my goals this month...just gonna take thing easy for now. I'm still jumping as high as I've ever jumped..I think the important thing to do right now is maintain and aim for a hard training cycle when I have the time in April. I don't know how anybody could ever trained consistently for 12 months a year...

Word on that Adarqui. To be honest my weight is ok - I was in NYC over the weekend and ate hella food but i'm still around 75kg. I put down a nice dunk in the Y today which is a HUGE first. So i'm happy about that. Maybe I was overtrained or something but I doubt it. Anyway, point being - my training has been patchy, I've gained weight and I still dunked on an indoor 10 foot hoop and got a HUGE milestone. I'm gonna try and keep lifting once or twice a week and i'll get back on shit towards the end of March - April. Not gonna update to much until then. But in a few weeks i'm coming abck with a revenge. I wanna be putting down two handers by the end of the summer but i'm not gonna concentrate on my weight it doesn't seem to be making a difference. Gonna get hella strong and hella powerful and when basketball season swings around in September or October i'll cut for a few weeks down to a good weight so I can be beasting next season.

Gonna start a new journal soon. Don't know if I can squat for a month or two - my gym doesn't have a squat rack but I might be able to improvise and put a free barbell into a smith machine and use that...If not i'm concentrating on deadlifts, jump hang snatches and bss w/a few other lower body focused exercises. Not gonna focus on weight or jumping for a while...i'm just gonna get as strong as possible on those lifts and then i'll focus on being in basketball shape and jumping a month or two before the season - that'll be 3-4 months away. I know Adarq doesn't like people starting new journals but i'll link to this on the first page. I've made some pretty good gains vert wise through the course of what I've logged here and I finally put down some dunks indoors and put down some sick dunks on outdoor (but questionable height) rims..Aim is to be an absolute beast next season - I wanna be in Derrick Rose mode - heavier, stronger, faster and dunking like an absolute animal.
