Ok, so i'm starting my new journal here. I'll link my previous journal below so people can see what kind of progress I made and where i'm currently at. To summarise, my last training cycle ended with this:

My vert is currently probably a tiny bit higher and i'm weighing a little bit more. My current goals are as follows, and i'm not putting a time limit on these but within two months would be good.

1. Deadlift - 140kg x 1 (my deadlift has went through the rough since I stopped logging @ 130kg now)
2. Squat - 120kg x 8 for 3 sets (I don't have access to a proper squat rack but I do have a weird smith machine that works in 3 dimensions i.e. it is stabilised but it does move in horizontal aswell as just a vertical plane allowing for fairly normal muscle recruitment)
3. Jump Hang Snatch - 70kg

I'm not keeping any sort of record on my weight but I would like to add some size - ideally i'll finish this cycle at around 77kg and then i'll do a mini cut for a month while maintaining my lifts. Ideally at the end of the summer I'd like to be doing this:

Ok - heres my training log for today:

Jump Hang Snatch - 20kg x practice, 55kg x fail, 55kg x 1, 50kg x 3, 40kg x 8
Squat - 100kg x 8, 100kg x 8, 100kg x 8
Chinups - 9, 7, 4 (these have dropped but it's also worth noting i'm weighing in around 3kg heavier atm)
Deadlift - 80kg x 8, 80kg x 8

Pushing myself any further would have left me in a pretty bad state cycling home so left it at that.

I'm about 6 foot tall in shoes - got some T-Rex arms though wingspan is pretty low proportionally Sad

My powers gonna be mad high fam - 90000000.
Got a decent workout in today and yesterday but didn't log 'em right...i'll pick it up soon but I'm def putting in work.

Today's workout -

DL - 95kg x 5, 95kg x 4, 95kg x 4
Overhead squat - 15kg x 8, 15kg x 8, 15kg x 8
Hang-snatch - Went to a max of 50kg (couldn't get anything else with decent form fatigued from DL and OS)
Chinups - Don't remember
Ab circuit + pushups...

Won't get to squat again until Monday, i'll probably deadlift and do some bss and hang snatches on Saturday - playing ball on Fri and Sun. Eating like an absolute animal too - hope I start putting on some decent weight...

Went in on the workout today. Gonna rest up tomorrow and squat Monday, Weds and Fri

J-Hang Snatch - 35kg x 5, 50kg x 1 (horrible form), 50kg x 1 (horrible form), 50kg x 2 (first with perfect form/2nd with horrible form), 45kg x 5, 45kg x 3

Deadlift - 80kg x 8, 85kg x 4, 90kg x 2, 70kg x 8, 70kg x 5

Overhead squat - 15kg x 8, 15kg x 8, 15kg x 8 (I need to start doing front squats - just gotta work on the technique)

Benchpress - 50kg x 8, 55kg x 8, 70kg x 3

Chinups - Didn't count was way too fatigued so went home.

Pretty happy with the work I got in though - Next week my schedule should start falling into place so I can really hit this programme hard.

Went in on my workout today - was able to hit J-Hang snatches @ 50kg for 5 reps - on Saturday I had to work with a mad narrow bar which threw my form off...glad I could hit that many reps today...major improvement over last week.

J-Hang Snatch - 50kg x 5, 50kg x 5, 50kg x 3
Deadlift - 100kg x 1, 120kg x fail (bar was mad slippy, 100kg x 1, 80kg x 5, 80kg x 5, 80kg x 5
Squat - 110kg x 8, 110kg x 8, 90kg x 8

On the first set of squats I set the emergency bar (if that's what you call it - what do they call those things?) too high. I ended up doing Adarq style half-squats...it killed quads in my right knee and could feel my tendonitis starting to flare up - never doing that again!!! Nice workout though...hoping to 110kg x 8 for 3 reps on Weds.

Also i'm gonna keep on doing those squats with that special smith machine but i'm gonna concentrate on overhead and front squats more. I wanna be a beast athlete I don't wanna just be able to jump high. I wanna be able to jump high and dunk ON PEOPLE!
