Day 9/28 of Flying in Four Beginner

- Did some rim reaching VJs on this offday. Managed to reach, but still inconsistent with technique. Will video soon, I promise.
- Ate lots of veggies, but I think I didn't get my usual dose of protein. I'll try to throw in one more glass of milk before I sleep.
- Threw in my own abs workout after FI4. Felt like dying for some reason. It was harder than usual.

Day 10/28 of Flying in Four Beginner

Great day because of 2 things:

-Finally found a video cam so expect that footage I've been promising to go up soon.
-Was able to finally reach the rim on a semi-standing VJ, and not the running two-foot. (I walked forward one step then jumped, so it's semi. Haha.)

Workout:
- Gave way @ 50 seconds of the Bulgarian Squat Iso hold w/ bodyweight. Weird that it's equally as hard as with or without weights. My legs probably felt like jello from the Bulgarian Squats non Iso, which are before the Isos, thus their failing.
- Felt lithe and powerful on the legs after the workout.
- Lost in our basketball game. By 36 points.

ya BSS/lunge isos are tough regardless of weight.. if you were using near maximal weight though, that would def be harder.

Bad. Real bad. 6 points was the only stat I could remember.

bump, WHERE U AT?

Sorry man, was just about to update when I saw your post. Haha. Thanks for the concern, promise to return to consistency!

Day 15/28 of Flying in Four Beginner

- Was able to hang/pull down the rim with 1 hand yesterday. Cheesy Happy, but I'd be happier if I could do it 2 hands.
- Squat PR today @ 190 lbs. Felt really scared on the last set of 5 reps, as I thought my legs would give or something.
- 60 seconds success on Bulgarian Split Squat w/ 20 lbs. on right leg, only 45 seconds on left leg. Gah.
- Won our Final Four matchup yesterday with the 3rd seed so we'll be heading into the Finals with the No.1 seed. Doubt we'll win but... meh...

Will post vids of jumping and exercise form over the week. Damn 3rd world internet makes everything slow to upload.

Injured. Bah. I tried pushing through with it, but my vert just dropped from barely grazing the rim to not even reaching it at all.

My legs feel unsure on the run-up.

My friend told me I have shin splints. The annoying pain is around the low calf/ankle area.

I'll try to limit all athletic activities for a week, then try to get back starting with 170 lbs. on the squat. Was so close on breaking the 200 mark. Gah.

stay focused man, you're looking at mr injury himself (adarqui), i've had so many it's insane.. i'm ridiculously injury prone, inflammation hits me very hard and i'm just "weak naturally", bottom line, you'll be back so stay focused, ice that area really good multiple times per day, and make sure you're improving at something while being injured (upper body, glute work, etc).

peace man
