 :uhhhfacepalm:    :uhhhfacepalm: :uhhhfacepalm:

Argentina just playing lazy I don't see the dynamic style they are used to playing and the goal croatia scored on extra injury time was just ridiculous I always am behind argentina but now this was torture to watch.

But croatia played well. still 2 mins left I doubt anything will happen.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

from a commenter on deadspin, after the croatia beatdown: "they need to hide a few Germans on their team."
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

Man, who would have expected nigeria to play so well. Musa man of the match. He is so light on his feet and just out skilled the goal keeper and scores just amazing.

This actually is good for argentina too,  :trolldance:, they need to beat nigeria to stand any chance of making it to the knockout stages and iceland have no hope of winning against croatia.

come on argentina... plz  :ninja:

btw, is this goal of the tournament?

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9LxxjCiP_c" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9LxxjCiP_c</a>

the skill of that.. is incredible.

also, performance of the tournament so far? probably not, Ronaldo gets that with the hat trick.. but man this comes close. Had some other shots on goal that were so close to hat-tricking him.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXX5ciWRhUo" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXX5ciWRhUo</a>

just incredible..

Def not goal of the tournament, there was one goal similar to that when argentina's goal keeper made that silly mistake of passing it but croatia volleyed it in, which was amazing, but the goal's of the tournament are goals which have been from a distance or at a ridiculous angle, just coutinho's goal how it curved in and then you have rakotic goal, i think that was his name, where he curved it around the defender.

Spain vs portugal was performance of the tournament. such a great match.

But nigeria also performed very well.

OMG germany risk going out of the world cup until 30 seconds left and a free kick and kroose saves them with a goal. especially with 10 men only.

such a great match. I was so hoping for germany another great team to go through.

now argentina.

oh

my

god.

GER/SWE was INSANE. what a match. What a goal by GER in the 94th minute. That was magnificent.

Also, one awful missed call early in the game, that could have come back to haunt SWE, fouled in the box, no call.
