Title: Self induced patellar tendonitis?
Post by: fast does lie on January 14, 2020, 09:20:01 am
and by this i mean did i massage my patellar tendon too much? what happened was that i normally kneel on a golf ball or something or use my fist to massage my patellar tendon before olympic squats and it seem to help.

but this time i may have hit my tendon too hard, next day it feels like that knee has some aching when bending and feels like very sore.....

massage muscles, not tendons, tendons are not supposed to be released.... you will just end up damaging it

What you did was put pressure on the patella by doing that and probably grinded on your cartilage under it....
In other words, it will wear it down over time, but right now your probably did some damage to it, hence it's sore

start doing backward  walking up a slope, for 1+ mins, it helps a lot
as long as it doesn't hurt, start low angles and work up
