Sprained Ankle delays my training
« on: June 02, 2012, 08:49:47 am »

I just sprained my ankle last week and need to recover quick to continue with my workout to make my deadline goal for 17th june.

I was playing basketball and as i was exploding towards the ball, i push off the top of my right foot which was upside down which caused my feet to slip to the side.

so my feet turned under and putting pressure on it while under slipped to the outside to the right. very painfull.

i have missed week 1 and already missed day 1 of week 2 any suggestions to speed up recovery?

thanks
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up

Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73
