thinking about buying a CHEAP HD camcorder, damienz recommends kodak zx1, i've also seen insignia's for very cheap.. i'll post more videos later.. here's a kodak zx1 video, not bad in good lighting:

insignia:

kodak zx1 = $79
insignia = $89

around the same price ranges though probably can find either for even cheaper..

Waterproof up to 5' for great video in the pool or ocean
Shockproof for resisting damage from a height of up to 4'

I got a Kodak ZI8. HD, 1080 or 720, but like I said, it has 720p 60fps. Makes nice for slow motion playback which I like. You've seen my videos and how nice it looks for a cheap camera.

At the time of this post there was a place to purchase on Amazon for 45% off new. That's $100 even-ish.

damn great link, now thinking about that cam too.. ya your vid quality is good, that cam for $100 is a steal.. reviews are great on it too, like 250 4-5 star ratings.

I own the zx1
Its just decent as a cam, its absolutely awesome if you consider the cost.

Pros :
-Amazing price
-720p@60fps
-Size

Cons:
-Fair sound
-No optical zoom
-Awful light sensitivity ( too dark with low light , frame rate somehow gets reduced too , down to 15fps i think )
Not sure about that 15fps thing , maybe im doing something wrong. Doubt it though , as i shot a few vids the same day as it was getting dark , the day ones were 60fps , the night ones where 15fps. Weirdness.

It is also extremely easy to use , no menus , no settings , nothing. Power on , select mode ( 720/60 , 720/30 , VGA ) , shoot , that's all. Not sure if that's pro or con , depends on user & purposes.
woot

You wont need HIFI sound for dunk vids lol

http://www.vimeo.com/16563171
this is a friends vid made with the kodak playsport. as you can see the playsport doesnt reduce the framerate when it gets dark. light sensitivity isnt good on any of those CHEAP cameras (cheap, what do you expect). as long as the court is lighted it shouldnt be a problem.

I actually have that exact setup, playsport and gorilla pod, but I got the ghetto version of the gorilla pod from best buy.  It works, but it's starting to get loose and not hold its shape really well.
