Anybody into podcasts? they're pretty convenient, i listed to them all summer whilst working manual labour - basically learning and getting paid to do so. now its useful for like long journeys and standing in cues, doing housework etc. better than tv!

some of my favourites
-skeptics guide to universe (general science0
-tim ferris..
-joe rogan depending on who he's talking to, he just did one with louie simmons
-bbc4 do some good shorter ones
-dan carlins hardcore history is AMAZING

any other reccomendations?

I'm with you on Tim Ferris and Joe Rogan although pretty selective with both as they run so long. The Louie Simmons one was a pisser. If you didn't know better you would seriously question what he's on.

Have you listened to any Sam Harris? It's a little more full on but incredibly interesting. Especially his views on artificial intelligence.
Also, fitcast have some interesting guests every now and then.
I tried listening to the Jocko podcast after I heard him on Rogan and Ferris. Haven't really gotten into that one yet.

i haven't listened to louie yet, i don't listen to most of joe rogans podcasts theres so many and most are with either comedians/ufc people. however the rhonda patrick ones are awesome.

yes sam harriss is awesome, love his stuff. his books too are great. i recently just read 'super intelligence' by nick bostrom, the kind of bible on AI - really really interesting stuff.

Yeah to someone who didn't know any better Louie would sound like an uneducated crackpot. Even Joe has some trouble believing some of the stuff he says. Lots of "huh" going on. Not as much as the Bilzerian podcast but still a decent amount. I love the UFC and all the Jiu-jitsu stuff so listen to a heap of Rogan.

I'll have to check that out. The whole AI thing is freaking me out a little bit tbh.

The only other one I listen to every now and then is Jay Ferruggia depending on the guest. He's gone away from a lot of the macho bullshit and a few are pretty interesting.

LBSS:
- WTF (long interviews)
- criminal (crime and punishment, great stories)
- 99% invisible (everyday architecture and design)
- planet money (economy/finance)
- the lowe post (basketball)
