so i was telling my dad i wanted to try and propagate my bougainvillea. i told him what i thought you did, and he told me something way different. i don't even know how he learned it.

i found a video which shows it.. it's basically partially cutting a bougainvillea branch and then causing it to root/grow while still attached.

it's crazy.

if you scroll through the vid, you'll see this guy has one bougainvillea propagating like 100 more bougainvilleas.. wtf.

that's basically what my dad told me he's done & it worked great. crazy. most vids i've seen do it completely different. this seems like such a sick technique.

some really slick/simple bougainvillea prop techniques. going to try this very soon. similar to what i did but, adding more humidity & plastic cups to see root growth.

avocado seed.

i've been wanting to do this for a while now.. and i just had the best avocado ever. so, will try it with a store bought avocado. most stuff store bought is "deactivated" but you never know.

sweet potato propagation:

didn't know it was this easy.. i left two sweet potatoes out, wondering if they would "grow" anything. over a month later, i have a big stem popping out of one. wtf?

pretty cool.

will post a photo of it tmw maybe. looks weird.

the banana baby propagation continues.

my dad gave me one, now i have like 8 (5 full grown + 3 more babies getting ready to be separated).

it's crazy. you separate them, re-pot them, and there's no wilting or anything. they just adapt to their new environment immediately, no problems. that's my experience so far at least.
