adarq.org now has reps......... prepare yourself.. but this is different, instead, if you love someone's post, vote it up (positive rep).. if a post truly sucks, vote it down (negative rep).. the mod keeps track of "respect", you can see it under the avatar..
so ya don't abuse the down voting (negs) because it hides posts, but you can just click 'show', kind of like how youtube does it now..

The rep system is a horrible idea IMO. I hate any forums the use it. It always leads to people manipulating their posting style for something that has no value, e-cred. This place has had enough increased anger/aggression as it is and this certainly won't help. People can and should always say thanks when someone helps them to show their gratitude, but surely this will have some negative impact behind it. I already see someone starting to get negged hardcore. This should be a fun place to journal, learn and have afew laughs along the way. There is no reason to add options that can cause negative feelings.
I would recommend adding an option to block someone so you don't have to read any of their posts for those that don't get along. It would be a huge turnoff if the bigotry continues to increase in this place. I personally don't want to see grown men having hissy fits, repping/negging eachother in the turmoil of high school drama.

it's an anonymous subforum, people are free to say whatever in it.. the rest of the forum is moderated. if you don't like what's going on in the anonymous subforum then don't read it man, people have cracked jokes on me in there also doesn't bug me one bit but we're all different.
i knew there would be some fall out from it.. people who "act weird" on here will get targeted by some people it seems.. i've been targeted in there for how i talk/dress/squat etc, you've been targeted mostly for your "jokes" and "emo posts", bmully's been targeted because he's highly annoying on the live chat.. if you got thick skin it shouldn't bug you one bit, if you don't have thick skin don't click that subforum.. people pick up on some of our "annoying" subtleties and that'll pop up in that subforum... for example, this post you made will probably be made fun of in there.
bottom line, this fucking site has been pissing me off... i want people to have more fun on it.. people only post in the journals section and rarely post anywhere else.. all of the other subforums are hardly used.. so i'm going to be adding more fun stuff to the site to keep me from wanting to rip people's eyes out.
only a few people on this site goto the fucking movies? or enjoy movies in general? out of the 1000's that have posted in journals section? shit like that.. this forum is full of bball players/addicts but the basketball subforum is barely posted in.. etc
so anyway, it all comes down to not clicking that subforum... if people talk shit in the regular forum then I delete/mod posts etc.. if people spam the anon forum fine, regular forum, banned/deleted.. if people troll the regular forum, banned/deleted, anon forum - fine.. etc

blocking someone would be even more of a problem because people who make really odd posts get quoted/replied to.
the vote up/down system is to vote down really pointless posts in the main forum, after 3 down votes it hides their post when viewing the thread, which contains a link to view it if someone wants.
if someone makes a really good post that deserves props, they should up vote it, eventually i can have the system show which posts have the most upvotes etc which can come in handy down the road..
if people start abusing it then i'll just remove their voting ability or remove the system..
dno we'll see how it goes, i can remove any of this at any time..
one thing that's not leaving is the anonymous subforum though, i don't give a shit what happens in there for the most part. surely there will be "high school drama" in there for years to come.

I have no problem with the subforum nor did I mention it. It's not my cup of tea but it's fairly entertaining for the most part. My main issue was with the increase of personal attacks, etc in the journals/sports performance areas of the site. I'd rather not have to scroll through that garbage although I may want to indulge in decimating a post or two if I'm feeling bored someday. I was getting a "bodybuilding" vibe with the new rep system and some recent posts.
Just dropping some input for the site. End of the day its only jumping and the internetz so it's all good in the hood high fly-ya.

I hate the "Hole" for the reasons Raptor said, and the reasons i said in there. Also they're picking on me too and i only help this forum by posting respectfully and posting in all the places other people don't (subforums). I hate anonymous posts, because it just goes to show that people are cowards and don't take responsability for their actions, even if the chance that i'll go to the place they live and bust their kneecaps as vengeance is real small...
