we lost 1 month's worth of data

the very short story because i'm too bummed to even type this crap:

1. uptime vps disappeared, thousands of sites disappeared including this one (so we lost members, posts, journal entries, etc)
2. that should have been fine but the daily backups i was downloading were full of errors for some unexplained reason
3. the only backup i had that was working, was from october 26th

thats it, sorry, pissed, peace.

thanks man, ya it's definitely better than nothing but it still really eats away at me that we lost data.. i try to make sure i back up everything, every night, just so we dont lose anything, and bam, corrupt backup files on that uptime vps host.. still have no clue why they were corrupt.. they were 1 gig files full of "error logs" instead of forum data, made no sense, because ive been backing up the same ways for years and never had a prob.

Ah... bad news.

It's cool, though, least the site's still up and stuff.

Maybe you should sift through the error logs and fix it up. Problem solved

uptimevps is gone, cant access the old data, they disappeared instantly a week or so ago (when we first went down).

Glad to see the site back up. what a bummer about the backup files.
As long as the site is back up we can continue where we left of.
For the journal part, they may be gone but our body's are a testimony of that.  :ibsquatting:
As for the articles that were for helping members, the people who read it know, the ones who didn't get to read it, bad luck, hopefully we got more in the future in learning more as more about training is revealed.

Peace
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up

Glad the page is back! :)

It doesn't matter much with the lost posts, as long as the page is back up :)

This.
Create a forum backup on your HD, then write a script and set it to execute every night. A simple one that just reapplies latest patch on the local HD forum and prints just some basic stuff , e.g date and total posts.
You will only have to check the .txt output in the morning and see if it works.
If you haven't already done that by now!  ;D

BTW its still Adam Lickmyboner's fault , nothing would have happened if we were still on bluehost!  :pissed:
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

ya, that wouldnt have worked unless i had been verifying the backups, because, i was using the same exact process as ive always used, which has always worked, until we put that site on that uptimevps hosting.. so i didnt think for one second that the backups were wrecked.. whack!

hah thanks man, but nah we're good.. we'll let that one go.. thousands of people are hunting him down who were done far more dirty than me so, uptimevps & whoever ran it will get there's, that's for sure.. people are pissed.
