some say lot of mass farm dairy cows receive antibiotics and hormone injections and that gets pass down to its milk.  i would imagine whey and casein are likely sourced from the same mass production milk farm right??  should i be worried at all?

12 week goal(current): SQ 115kg(100), DL 130kg(110), BP 80kg(70), reduce weight to 75kg (165 lbs) and bf to ~25%
status: excellent cardio condition, new 5x5 program, 10' rim touch okay, RVJ ~30"
PR RVJ ~34" 10'5" touch @ age ~25 (worst was ~6" below rim when i was @ 190 lbs ~35% body fat ~23" RVJ in 2007-8

Milk and its derivatives are full of toxins that should be avoided at all costs.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

I would much rather have the milk I had when I lived in Mexico. Fresh from the cow. Naturally grazed, no crappy diet.

Milk's benefits outweigh any problems it has.

Some ass(ME) always brings up the topic that whey is made from the sick and extra hormon injected cows...is this true?? does it have any bad affects???

zetz- milk straight from the cow would be worse imo, what about all those GERMS AND BACTERIA!!!

Remember.... I was raised on the stuff (at least for the first few years of my life), so were my parents. My immune system is much stronger than yours. And it's actually not any more contaminated than what you would drink. The idea that we need to be protected from the food we've been eating for thousands of years is absurd. (The day I die of a food-born illness is the day you can feel free to tell me I'm wrong.) Pasteurization also kills a lot of the nutritional value raw milk has.

It's actually really good. It almost tastes sweet. Flavor-wise, it makes the milk you buy at a store taste flavorless. Part of the reason I love visiting Mexico is even though we don't have cows there anymore, when the small local store runs out, neighbors will share milk from their cows. Skim the fat off the top (which is used for some other things), refrigerate and drink. It's pretty awesome. Only problem is it won't last more than a few days, which is why it's inconvenient in most "industrialized" places.

UMMMMMM....OK  my personal opinion is that anybody who can eat McDonalds and not get sick has a great immune system...I would have to say my immune system is pretty strong though, I survived football lockerroom, without getting the sniffles..Let me set the stage, dirty, tired, sweaty, overtrained, overworked, smelly, unsanitary, and constantly people will throw something gross(i.e. someone throws a cup and once somebody threw a sock that had been used as toilet paper, Not at me thank G_D!!!!!)

anyway, I was just wondering if that would be any worse than all of the hormones and shizz

No. Not at all. At least from what I know. (Which isn't much, but it's enough)

LBSS will you stop trolling about milk, you always troll about milk & eggs.. lol

ghettoracer, I personally wouldn't be worried but I havn't found any damning studies on whey/casein protein supplements. I buy milk that is hormone free, but ya, I definitely don't know the source of my whey protein (ON protein).
