Title: L-carnitine
Post by: Flip on March 18, 2012, 08:18:00 am
Is it any good, has anyone used it ?
and while we're on the subject, does anyone use/know about clenbuterol?

There's not much evidence of L-carnitine doing anything.

For clen, it's effective for weight loss and anti-catabolism (assuming your diet is in check), but it's illegal unless you buy it in liquid form for "research purposes". It could be dangerous for an athlete. You don't need it.

In what way illegal? If you participate in official competitions or what?

Well it's banned in pretty much every tested sport. It's a prescription drug in a lot of countries (not the US), so buying it without one would be illegal (unless you buy it in liquid form through a research/chemist company). In the US it's not prescribed at all (not approved for human use) but it's not illegal to buy (illegal to buy for human use though). Basically, if you want clen, you can get it and not worry about being arrested. I'm just calling it illegal because the only way to get it is basically the same way you would buy steroids/serms/hormones.

It is? I've seen it marketed with no problems here. So I guess it does something if it's banned, right? Or its effects are unknown and that's why it's banned?

It's a drug that cures some respiratory issues, that's what I've read about it, and like any other medicine has some possible adverse effects, but a certain effect is that it burns fat

It's banned because it's a stimulant (or at least has stimulant like effects depending on your definition of a stimulant.)

I don't know the legal status of it for every country. If someone wanted it they could get it anywhere.

Caffeine is a stimulant but I don't hear it is banned.

It was banned for awhile in the olympics and the NCAA still bans high amounts of it, although I'm not sure how accurate their testing for it is. I'm not sure about other sports.
