So i have been taking the double dose of recommended pre workout supplement. Is that an issue?

Here are the contents:

they say dont take more than 2 scoops in 24 hrs, i took 4-5 scoops, total, one for morning, one for afternoon.....

33yrs | 24in SVJ | >45% BF | 227LB | 5'9 | 7'5 reach | 400lb max squat paused | 5'8 wingspan | 26in RVJ

Coming back from 2 years of inactivity!

Goal: Maintain 385-405lb squat while cutting down to 165 LB

 :uhhhfacepalm:
Why? Just why?

People who are experts in nutritional supplement say don't take more than 2 scoops in 24hrs and you take double and then you post a thread asking us, who most probably do not match to knowledge of the people who gave that recommendation whether it is right?

I'm confused.

But my 2 cents, yes that is an issue.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up

Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

If you have kidney issues, I'd be staying the hell away from pre-workouts. I doubt they're more effective than having a strong coffee 30min before.

I dont believe i have kidney issues, but i might have liver high enzymes based on my last blood test.

which specific ingredient is bad for liver in preworkouts? thanks

There's so many substances in one hit that it's impossible to isolate any that might cause you trouble. Moreover, the supplement formulations are unregulated, so the ingredient that might damage your organs may not even be on the label. For example, your supp says 'natural and artificial flavours'....what are they exactly? That's a problem for lots of processed foods of course.

If you do have previous signs of liver damage from when you weren't training, and you want to double-dose the pre-workout, you'd want to be having regular blood tests just to show that your blood markers are stable and that it's safe. Major hassle. At least with caffeine tabs or coffee, you know the active ingredient and its safety range. Plus, as LBSS says, the cost/benefit ratio is way out compared to cheaper alternatives.

seems a bit silly to equate crackers -- which consist of mainly flour, water, and salt and are intended to do nothing more than make you less hungry or perhaps serve as a vessel for some cheese -- with PWO supplements of questionable ingredients that are intended to jack you up. lots of OTC stuff can be dangerous if you take too much of it, or too much at once. caffeine included.

ya dude supps (pre/post/whatever) are full of sketchy shit. i've never seen a box of crackers with the insane ingredient label of most supps. fuck supps.

I like acole's advice.

keeping it simple is the best way to go .. coffee is rocket fuel.
