nice find, but what are you confused on specifically?
i've never bought into the 8 x 8oz hype, ever.. mostly because I drink milk, that contains alot of water, and food contains alot of water. So i mean you can get away with 5 glasses or so, and you'll get the rest of it from other sources.
The dehydration thing is big, i actually feel more energetic/stronger/powerful when im 'slightly dehydrated'.. tons of dehydration studies show no effect in boxing, i have a few in the boxing studies thread in peer review subforum.
That 'you're dehydrated when you're thirsty' shit is always such bs too... That's like saying if you're hungry, you're starving.
I liked the article. You know what, i've never seen this 8x8 crap in any workplace i've been in though, odd.

Million dollar questions:
A) How exactly can someone achieve that "slight dehydration"? Not drinking enough is supposed to make the body keep fluids. Drinking too much (something that i do ) has you always full of water. So.... ???
B ) Is there a thing like "overhydration"? Or a limit quantity of water we shouldn't exceed drinking daily?

There is such a thing as water intoxication, but you're not getting there. It involves large amounts in short spans. Your body can process up to about 15 liters spread out throughout the day...

Holy shitballs, that's a long article. Too long for me to read. Here's all you need to know to know that 8x8 or any other universal prescription for water intake is total bullshit: that means that me, a 165-170 pound moderately active male, my 115 pound mostly sedentary (mostly ;)) girlfriend and my 100 pound hyperactive grandmother should drink the same amount of water in a day. Water intake is like anything, it depends on the individual. You should drink enough water that you're not thirsty but peeing normally. The end.
