Title: What's the consensus on IF while bulking?
Post by: Dreyth on March 28, 2019, 10:15:05 am
What's the consensus on IF while bulking? I'm looking at a ~2000 calorie weekly surplus (slow bulk)

Is it better for putting on lean body mass while bulking?

I love IF while cutting or maintaining weight, but not sure about bulking

Dont do IF when gaining weight. Spread the meals out during the day otherwise dinner is too massive a meal ANDDDDDDD your metabolism is slowest then, not good.

what about the supposed benefits of increased insulin sensitivity while IF?

also, source on metabolism slowing down after a 16hr fast?

Nah that's not specific to IF. In general metabolism is fastest during the day and slowest at night (and into sleep). If you're on a caloric deficit it doesn't matter if you eat most of your calories at night but on a surplus you probably don't want to eat them later at night. Since you're talking about a small surplus it probably doesn't matter much anyway.
