Olympic Coverage (Australia)

Thanks for fuking up the Olympics with your awful coverage Channel 9! Fkn useless kunts can't even run it properly. In 2 hours you see 5 minutes of basketball, and snippets of a dozen other sports followed by a commentary cast of fukwits and commercial breaks. I'm not even gonna bother watching the Olympics anymore until track comes on otherwise I'm gonna break my TV.
Thousands of other Aussies agree with me as you can obviously see by Channel 9 facebook page.

When I flicked thru the channels for the opening ceremony and saw 9 was doing them, I just knew it would be done badly and they'd find a way to ruin it. The only way it could possibly be worse is if 7 did it again but at least you'd get roy & hg that way. Best outcome would have been SBS - they're pretty good. Ah well. Suppose it makes sense to switch over from the last quarter of a good basketball match into an exciting equestrian qualifier just because some aussie is in it lol.

If i wasn't using Linux i'd try using the expat shield thing and watch bbc coverage. I might actually do that anyway, that way I can watch the oly lifting and track stuff.

might be worth a try -

Offering a special summer sports deal for just $4.99 a month, the company's VPN offering gives users unlimited access to the BBC's Olympic coverage, as well as access to any other restricted UK sites, such as Channel 4's 4OD.

NBC fucking blows, too, for what it's worth. They have like four channels to show stuff on and in the past two days I've turned on one of the channels after work and seen fucking WAKEBOARDING and POKER and a fucking RERUN of the japan-spain soccer match. are you serious? you can't fucking show olympic sports DURING THE FUCKING OLYMPICS?!?! WITH ALL FOUR OF YOUR FUCKING CHANNELS??!?!

FUCK YOU, NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMFAO!
They did similiar shit today except for hours they were be promoting the Opals basketball game. The time comes for basketball and they didn't bother showing the Opals game until midway through the 3rd quarter. They showed the last 5 minutes of the 3rd and than they switched over to a variety of kayaking, tennis, archery, and badminton. They didn't even bother switching back to the basketball until well after the game was already over.  I'm just boycotting their coverage until track comes otherwise I'll need to buy a new tv haha.

They sound almost as bad as Channel 9 haha. Channel 9 got 3 channels but the geniuses at Channel 9 believe 2 channels should be dedicated to exactly the same thing so they literally have 2 channels showing the exact same programs/events at the olympics. As for the other channel it's too busy showing awful re-runs from shows that were last seen in the 1970's. Ah got to love free to air tv...

lucky for me, there a TV station is passing the olympics all day, stopping just for the news; no basketball atm, but all the gymnastics and weightlifting and tv signal from argentina pass olympics all day focusing on their teams.
