tuesday: extensive tempo (7 km) OR fartlek (mostly easy pace with mix of strides, hills, long tempo) 45 mins (8+ km)
wednesday: easy run 60+ mins @ 5:20-5:30 (11+ km)
thursday: easy run 60+ mins @ 5:20-5:30 (11+ km), strength/cross-training
friday: rest
saturday: short tempo 6-8x500 @ sub-4:00 (7 km)

strength would be:
- hops 2x10
- box jumps or ME SVJ 2x5
- squats 3x6-8 or weighted BSS/lunges 3x10/leg
- RDL/hypers 2x10-12 or SLRDL 2x10-12/leg
- upper push myo-reps or sets to technical failure
- upper pull myo-reps or sets to technical failure
- leg raises, holds, pallof presses

That article is nothing new to me. I already made basically the same observations about guys I know. I'm not upset about being "friendzoned" or rejected, I'm mostly upset at myself for having unreasonable expectations when know better than to become attached to people. I'm getting over it though, so it's all good.

Edit: BUT... I do greatly appreciate the reminder to not act like a little bitch. Your posts are always helpful.  :highfive:

you've made that observation about guys you know? is one of those guys yourself? because what you described, without knowing any of the details, sounds exactly like what happens in that thread. it does you no good to be mad at yourself for getting attached. and expecting a girl to want to have sex with you is not "unreasonable". sometimes those expectations will be met and sometimes not, but if you think it's "unreasonable" to expect that someone would want to have sex with you you're handicapping yourself pretty badly.

I don't think that's unreasonable at all, except for I was never expecting sex. By unreasonable expectations I meant any sort of relationship because I basically knew she wasn't interested in anything early on. Doesn't really matter because I'm over it, but what I was most upset about was that I heard the exact words "I plan on being single for a long time" and then this chick starts dating this guy. Not even worth my worries.

ive been downing tons of green tea.


seems like ibuprofen has helped my cough more than anything, it's weird.

my nose drips blood if i lean over. my lungs are probably bleeding.

ibuprofen is an NSAID. maybe it just reduced the inflammation in your bronchi (bronchitis literally just means inflamed bronchi). hence, less coughing.

note: not sure if that's actually true. just a surmise.

yup, i was thinking something similar.. it def has a positive effect, there's something to it.

Life just fuking with me atm. I havn't had much motivation to train or anything even before this injury a few weeks ago. My gf takes up lots of my time and just dealing with trying to start a career so it's been hard for me to find the motivation to go to the gym. It's like I went to uni for 4 years got my degree with honors and ended up getting reasonable grades as well (mainly credits and distinctions), yet I can't find a fkn job. So all year I've been working full time in this meat factory and it's not that I think I'm 2 good to work in a factory or anything like that but it's just that I spent 4 years and a HECS debt getting an education and all for what- to fkn spend hours and hours each day fkn cleaning machines and dishes and bullshit like that. Get treated like shit at work and I'm sik of having an old car but I get paid fkn minimum wage so I can't afford a better 1. It's like a young person ain't shit. I'm sick of all of this bullshit and people telling me to be positive. How am I meant to be postive when I don't see shit positive?

Anyway back to drinking my Guiness since I can't fkn train or anything due to a stress fracture in my foot

When I first worked I worked in a supermarket carrying boxes around, having a Computer Science diploma, for ~100 euros per month. So... there ya have it.

Yeah true my life just got even worse last night. I had an argument with my girlfriend so I caught up with some of my old friends and went to a party and just made the dumb choice to drive. Got pulled over by the cops and as soon as I got pulled over I was just thinking "I'm fuked". Ended up blowing 0.075 when the limit is 0.050 in Aus so now I've lost my licensce and got a $1500 fine as well. Coz I don't have a licensce now I can't get to work so I'm just going to quit. Whenever you think life is going bad there's always some way it seems to get worse.
