I remember the worst... it was that slow guy that jumped like 4 inches for the rebound jump.

it was some hockey guy, he lands and loads up for like 3 seconds swinging his arms back and forward, then jumps like 4".

lol

Yeah it's a way to suppress the stretch reflex, which is exactly what you should do for a depth jump since that's the key: remove any reactive rebound from the jump. Oh wait... :ninja:

Maybe he read that it's more important to get higher than jump quicker, and he gets the highest off a standing vertical jump so he dropped, stopped and did a standing VJ. Or he could be retarded, who knows?

Why do you always use the that smilie? just curious

That goes way back... to the days when I was being a member of the streetball.co.uk forum some 7 years ago... we used a similar smilie like crazy. It's meant to be a "sarcastic" smilie.

lol, i think he was definitely trying on those tuck jumps, but ya, exactly.. i don't think he's strong enough/coordinated enough to make it look like he's trying though.. needs to put in alot of work in the reactive-strength department.

hehe

Locking the knees is a natural human movement.
