baseball and not (american) football? baseball is pretty weird, i admit, but it's super popular in northern latin america and japan and korea. american football is literally only popular here and (a little) in canada and (a little) in mexico. but anyway it's hard to overstate how incredible that throw was. for reference, in case you can't tell from the video and are unfamiliar with baseball, that throw went more than the length of a soccer field. entire seasons go by without anything like it.

What an amazing performance by Mutaz Barshim and Bohdan Bondarenko... both came so close to beating the world record in the high jump... Barshim went over 2.50m in his peak I believe.

I know that guy I seen him jump as with Robbie grabbarz on athletics meets and he was good in this jump, he was explosive on the jump he had jumped so high he had big margin between him and the bar he can jump a higher bar with that jump, impressive.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up

Definitely. Also take a look at what his knee and tibia does after the plant. No forward movement AT ALL happening. If you look at how his body moves, that is a 100% posterior-chain driven jump.
