btw.. if you want to see some serious beast shit, nothing beats roy jones jr's highlight tape, with his own rap song, knocking everyone out. That part where he destroys the double end bag, in the intro at ~6-11 s gets me every time.. that is so unreal.. it's hard to explain how difficult that is.

also roy played professional basketball (CBA?).. most athletic boxer i've ever seen. You can see the basketball (streetball) influence in the ring. He's basically doing streetball shit in a boxing ring.

beast as fuck.

edit: FWIW, mayweather and pacquiao both love bball too, mayweather is actually decent (IIRC). Sergio Martinez could have played professional futbol I think.. futbol/basketball have to be great for footwork in the ring. Basketball even more-so because you also get that hand/arm coordination from dribbling.

Roy Jones JR is my favorite boxer of all time... he's just, I don't know, amazing, looks unreal at times, has has a great combination of savagery, athleticism and "swagger"/arrogance.

nice! ya he's video game status.

he is #1 in many books.. going from jr middleweight to heavyweight is also insane.

only fighters i can remember with nearly as much swagger, is Prince Naseem Ahmed or Pernell Whitacker.. Naseem had insane power + swagger.

I swear whenever I see Roy Jones JR I want to take up boxing.

Can I get to a boxing club and just train there without going into actual fights and have my cranium cracked and liver dispatched from my body? Although a lot of boxing clubs here are absolutely horrible, in terms of what people are in them (everybody, trainers, boxers etc, are absolutely hideous human beings that you don't want to associate with in any way).

Roy Jones Jnr is a warrior.  People remember Roy Jones for being a slick, fast and excellent counter puncher, but forget he had incredible punching power. Becoming a heavyweight champ at 88kg (<200lbs) is testament to that.

http://fittish.deadspin.com/the-back-story-of-nepals-first-global-sports-star-its-1768945737

from her first long race outside nepal, which she won by breaking the course record:

Quote
“I was running with Hillary [Allen], just staying behind. I took it a bit easily. Really enjoyed. Wow, check points they have fruit, everything, to eat,” she said, making a mouth-filling motion with both hands. “You can drink so much you have to spit it out! Near every check point—‘Allez allez,’ ‘Dai dai,’ cow bells tung tung tung. I am ‘Hello, hi everybody.’ At 65km, I said ‘Let’s go, Hillary’ and started a little bit fast. First sister [Anna Comet Pascua of Spain] was walking hands on legs. I am just walking normally, and passed her. I met Greg [Vollet, of team Salomon] at 70km. ‘Wow Mira, you are very strong,’ Greg said. OK, I will try. Bye-bye Greg brother, then I am going, and I ran hard.”

Not a fan of baseball, as I don't understand anything out of it, but that looked pretty cool. I bet my mom would say "nice" and make a smilie face.

apparently:

Elite runner Jaqueline Kiplimo helps a disabled Chinese athlete drink during the 2010 Zheng-Kai marathon. She stayed with him for several miles, costing her the 1st place finish and the $10000 prize; she came second [x-post /r/running "This makes no sense." - a Redditter can't comprehend empathy]

dno, kinda beast. and these people running marathons with disabilities (or wheelchair) is beast as well.
