Finally , some freak jumper does what we all want , he jumps on the rim ( actually backboard ) for highest touch! :D
He holds back as you will see , but it still looks damn sick and unreal

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBhuHHLs08s" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBhuHHLs08s</a>

Highest touches are around 0:54
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

It's silly to try and touch the backboard... your hand will be leaning forward so it will be much lower than a full extension upwards...

If you want to measure something try a vertec.

Indeed , and here his hand has a huge angle , the difference with some frames before touching the board is obvious.
For freaks in the 50'' area , head height is more useful for calculating.
But for all of us caught in the mid/low/high 30's , highest touch is the way , so its really funny/nice to see someone like Darlington attempt a highest touch...

ya i love seeing jumps like that.. for those guys, it has to be weird to high touch because they can smash their face on the backboard.. like ripp said on irc "it's like he's jumping up to high touch on a wall".. so ya it'll get skewed.

i'd say this jump is not far off of this.. little angle prior to hit but should be real close to what we see.. nasty

Yes and he probably hit in the middle of the square, like 12 inches lower because of the angle.

+1. high touch is most accurate by far for anyone touching ~11'4 or less.. dont even need a vertec.

i saw him hot lower but i think that has to do with him about to collide into the backboard.. think about it, from my elbow to tip of my finger is 21", if i got head to rim i'd heave 3" over the top of the square.. he's 6'4, his head is at rim, he should be well over the top of the square which he is.. dno i  think that pic is pretty accurate.

That wasn't sarcastic by me, I was actually confirming something.
