33-35?
"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

33-35?

Based on what?

Rim is 2.95 tall. My reach is 2.41. Here I see to be about 2 palms or 40 cm over the rim in my estimation.

That gets 2.95 + 40 = 3.35 high touch.

3.35 - 2.41 = 94 cm which would be 38 inches.

On the other hand, if the jump is 94 cm then I'm with my head at 2.76m, which means I'm 19 cm away from the rim. It doesn't look like I'm 19 cm away from the rim in that picture. Looks like 30 cm or so.

I always thought you were taller, hmm, I'd say 36-38 then. Hard to judge but decent estimate IMO. :/

Yeah well like I've done the calculations above... looking at where the hand is/how much the arm gets over the rim - gets my vert to about ~38 inches.

But that would mean my head would be 19 cm away from the rim which is 8 inches, and it doesn't look to be 8 inches away from the rim, more like 12.

So... something is fishy.

How high do you think I am here (rim is 9'8 ):

I would say that since you're highest reach is 2.41m
and the rim is 9'8 and the square behind the rim of a regular backboard is smaller than regular 16 inches but your hand is not high as the top of the mark so minus around 4 inches so that is 12 inches above hoop.

the rim is 9'8 which is 294cm + 30cm = 324cm

reach is 241cm

so your vert would be approximately around:

83cm, which is 32.7 inches rounding up to 33"

   33 Inches

So your vert is between 30 - 34 inches

Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

Um... not sure if you noticed but... that backboard isn't exactly an "official backboard" :P

The square looks taller than just 16 inches. You shouldn't worry about the square though.

This is easy....measure to your elbow. Your elbow is basically at the rim so there's your answer! :)
