SF, California.

This shelter in place to me will probably last another 1-2 months at least. We have not seen the peak. We are not testing. We are not seriously isolating. I might as well invest in a fancy folding garage gym and just stay home all the time.

More pricy than other folding racks but so simple to use like opening a window.

This plague is going to put america on its knees. Italy has a top tier health care system and they got wrecked. Not all of us are going to make it.

agreed. not good at all.

also as far as ordering gym equipment, "good luck" -> apparently it's like with guns, everyone is ordering gym equipment. very long shipping times.

so order ASAP maybe .. and if you can't get it, maybe curb side pickup somewhere near by.

gluck man!

america's idiocracy is the perfect "host" for this virus. we've basically trained ourselves & under-prepared ourselves to get destroyed by something like this.

regarding not all of us going to make it: yea that's why i spend most of my time in this thread now.. hope everyone on here is taking is EXTREMELY serious.

I’m worried about emerging situations in New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, among others. In China no province outside Hubei ever had more than 1,500 cases. In U.S. 11 states already hit that total. Our epidemic is likely to be national in scope

that's good re: your dad.

my brother just moved to new orleans in january. louisiana is deteriorating fast, so that's a bit worrisome. he's doing fine, healthy so far, but one of his roommates is a doctor so there is a really good chance he'll get exposed or has been already. just talked with him this afternoon, actually. he said the roommate told him he'd never seen anyone as sick as covid patients. organ failure all over the place, apparently it wrecks your kidneys among other things.

damn man that is not good.

and yea, the first hand accounts of dealing with this thing, make every1 who is calling it an "over reaction" (mostly business folks) look pathetic:

"it's just the flu"
"it's a little worse than the flu"
"it only affects the very old with 3 pre-existing conditions"
"do you even know anyone with coronavirus?"
"the cure is worse than the problem"
"once it's all said and done this will only have a 0.1% mortality rate"
"our health care system is better than italy's"
"it won't get bad here"
"give it a week, you'll see what I mean"
"it's all dem/media hype"

i've heard lots of those things from some "business-minded friends" (depressing).. they are all getting their script from somewhere...

Pm has corona virus. Must have been the heath secretary when she coughed during speech. He was there
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

one of my co-workers who previously said "i' not worried at all about coronavirus, it's all hype" over a month ago, said last night: "man i am very worried. i am freaking out. i actually could not sleep last night. i will work from home moving forward."

pathetic that we didn't mandate WFH 2 weeks ago. i did attempt to make it mandatory, pushed for it.

early march NY uptick in "flu like" illnesses:

It’s noteworthy around March 1 you started to see change in visits for influenza like illness in New York at time when flu positivity was going back to baseline.
