accounts from military pilots etc get me a little excited.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/26/us/politics/ufo-sightings-navy-pilots.html

1980s era radar upgrade.. :ninja:

Quote
The pilots began noticing the objects after their 1980s-era radar was upgraded to a more advanced system. As one fighter jet after another got the new radar, pilots began picking up the objects, but ignoring what they thought were false radar tracks.

ufo's doesn't imply aliens.

i saw weird stuff twice: once w/ my mom when i was like 14 or so, once by myself outside at night (I think i blogged that in my journal).

imagine being a highly skilled (& honest) air force pilot and seeing something that makes no sense to you.. has to be nuts.

found my ufo sighting that I blogged in my journal :ninja:

http://www.adarq.org/progress-journals-experimental-routines/adarq's-journal/msg118607/?topicseen#msg118607

well I just saw my first "UFO". weird unidentifiable flying object, not in the alien sense.

so i'm outside late chucking dog toys around.. sky is very clear, can see stars/constellations very easily.. so I notice some "dark red" light moving far off, it wasn't going super fast but it was definitely moving.. The light also didn't blink. so i'm watching it for a minute or so cross the sky, expecting it to eventually look more like a plane at night, and then poof, gone.

I kept looking for it to re-appear, for basically 15 minutes.. nothing.

 :o

"tic tac" encounter, 2004.

https://www.history.com/news/uss-nimitz-2004-tic-tac-ufo-encounter

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/16/us/politics/unidentified-flying-object-navy.html

Haha, I love reading these type of stories too. Great thread.

In this one, when I read this:

Quote
The two fighter jets then conferred with the operations officer on the Princeton and were told to head to a rendezvous point 60 miles away, called the cap point, in aviation parlance.

They were en route and closing in when the Princeton radioed again. Radar had again picked up the strange aircraft.

“Sir, you won’t believe it,” the radio operator said, “but that thing is at your cap point.”

“We were at least 40 miles away, and in less than a minute this thing was already at our cap point,” Commander Fravor, who has since retired from the Navy, said in the interview.

It made me think the signal must have been a glitch in the radar software code or something, for the object to almost instantly appear at some co-ordinates that, I would think, must have been stored in the system data. The object wasn't there when they arrived either. I don't know how to explain what they saw earlier though.  :ninja:

hah cool thanks. yeah me too.

when people with "credibility" and high levels of knowledge/experience in science/aerospace/government talk about weird stuff they've seen, it always interests me.

just based on the probabilities of it, I believe there's intelligent life out there in the universe. whether or not it's visiting us, no idea. but that's why i love good "ufo" stories.

yea could be. people usually point to glitches etc. i imagine most of the time that's what it is.

yup.. lol.

these experienced pilots claimed the thing "came right at them" then veered off and accelerated, poof gone.

encounters like that are incredible.

could just be people lying etc.. but lots of "honorable people" have given some mind blowing stories, so I tend to not be sceptic of it all.

I liked Senator Reid's quotes in some of those articles.

pc!

^^ o sh*t i didn't click post on this:

https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/local-news/exclusive-i-team-confirms-pentagon-did-release-ufo-videos/

Quote
“AATIP did find a lot of stuff,” former Senator Reid said. “This wasn’t just a one-off looking at the Nimitz incident. There were many incidents we looked at and we looked at them on a continuing basis.”

Quote
“You can’t just hide your head and say these things are not happening. We have military installations where hundreds and hundreds of people who are there and see these things,” Senator Reid said.

btw here's the "Wilson memo" that was talked about in the Rogan/Lazar interview.

hard to read. gets a bit interesting. no one knows if it's real or not. briefly, (if real) it's Adm. Wilson telling Eric Davis (a physicist?) that the Pentagon funded company discussed wouldn't give him any details/info because he lacked oversight of it.

photographs of the memo:

or

https://siriusdisclosure.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Leaked_Notes_Eric_Davis_2002.pdf

article:

http://devoid.blogs.heraldtribune.com/15832/the-ufo-leak-of-the-century/

Quote
According to “Core Secrets,” Wilson told Davis how, in 1997, as one of the Pentagon elites, he went digging for classified UFO files and was informed, by a private aerospace tech contractor, that he, Wilson, lacked a valid security clearance to be read into the program it was running — with federal money.

that unidentified series is good so far. only watched the first 2 eps, but i didn't realize that the video of the "tic tac" from the 2004 incident, was taken by the second group of fighter pilots who went off to find it. also lots of interesting discussion with two radar & tech folks who were on the ship.

it's in that annoying format where the show repeats itself over & over, but it's pretty good.
