http://louderwithcrowder.com/hidden-camera-buying-a-gun-without-a-background-check/#.VzUKZNIrLcs

The Dems can eat a dick on this one.

you've been tricked yet again!

basically, I have this advice: any time you see a video targeting "liberals" and such, realize it's probably very much distorted.. ;f

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jan/07/politifact-sheet-3-things-know-about-gun-show-loop/

http://smartgunlaws.org/universal-gun-background-checks-policy-summary/

so.. they could have tried to purchase guns, at gunshows from unlicensed dealers, but those were in states that require background checks from unlicensed dealers.. or, they could have been trying to purchase guns from licensed dealers @ gun shows, which requires background checks nation wide.

as for the automatic weapon issue, ya that's obviously misinformation (or ignorance) from some liberals.. However, when Bernie mentioned Automatic weapons in that clip, he was using it in the context that he's against saying ANYTHING GOES from pro 2nd amendment activists.. ie, he's saying "just because the 2nd amendment says we have the right to bear arms, we shouldn't be allowed to have automatic weapons".. so they willfully used that clip incorrectly, I imagine.. Also they used a fucking Bloomberg clip -> he's a republican (well he's been everything, but he's still been a republican).

some liberals are for the complete banishment of all guns.. most are for "common sense gun control", which includes removing the "gun show loophole", which in reality just means making it "illegal" for private citizens to sell guns to citizens without going through a background check process.... and really, how is that a bad thing? If I had a desert eagle on me right now, I could sell it (in Florida) to a criminal without ever reporting it, without any kind of background check process etc.. does that really make sense?

In florida that law already exists and its up to them to enforce it, it says the counties have the options to enforce it.  They act like these laws do not exist.  Enforce the laws that are already out there before sitting on the shitter thinking of new ones.

Whats hilarious is the background check for a gun is probably more in depth than the background check they just did on the 4k cubans that they let in here.

In NY I could just as easily sell my pistol to someone and not report it though because criminals shit on the law and do not care.  Just like Hillarys appreciation for Australia, yeah the Bloods and Crips are going to turn in their guns with the serial numbers filed off.

well that's the problem that "liberals" are arguing.. if counties/states have the ability to ignore restrictions on private gun sales, then that's a loophole. Republican counties/states are most likely not going to enact/enforce such laws, so guns can flow freely in the "private market".. thus, a loophole.

also, what new laws? most democrats just want these gun control laws enforced on a federal level ... not left up to states/counties -> which create the loopholes.

to most dems (and the president), it's not about new laws:

Quote
Expanded background checks are central to the president's proposals. His order doesn't rewrite existing laws, but it would broaden the scope of who is in the gun-selling business. It would require more gun sellers online and at gun shows to be licensed (and perform checks) among other things.

it's exactly like you are saying.. enforce existing laws, but also broaden the scope of who is considered a gun seller.

dno.. i know the background check process for syrians and such has ongoing followups throughout the year.. sounds far more in depth than a background check for a gun.

sure, but it's not always about criminals.. it's also about simple public health & safety. It's also about accountability. If some gun owner can just sell his AR-15 to a Crip or 19-22 year old college student, with no sense of responsibility/accountability, that doesn't seem to make any sense.

So.. we have an insane amount of gun violence in USA. We have an insanely small amount of terrorist attacks inside of our country.. However, there's a big movement to ban muslims until we figure out how to fix our screening process. Why aren't we banning gun sales until we figure out how to fix our mental health reporting process? etc etc

It's all just a big joke.. pro gun politicians don't even really give a shit, they just use issues to get elected.. Then they have people like us argue about them.

Quote
The National Rifle Association goes to great lengths (and spends a huge sum of money) to defend the right to bear arms. It is opposed to virtually every form of gun regulation, including restrictions on owning assault weapons, retention of databases of gun purchases, background checks on purchasers at gun shows and changes in the registration of firearms.

That's what the dems are up against...

Remember the Big Tobacco lobby? Cigarettes aren't harmful? How'd that turn out..

Common sense usually wins out, just takes time.

fuck the nra :)

They talked to the Cubans for an hour and said yep you're good.

It'd be nice if the Dems would learn the correct terminology when it comes to guns so they dont just blatantly lie to everyone.

I don't get the point of that video..... So dems are the ones using the "OMG THEREZ LOTS OF SHOOTINGZ" line of attack, then what are the republicans using? Every single gun tragedy is followed by Republicans using that to stir up gun sales & try to push arming teachers, students - allowing open/concealed carry in movie theaters and such etc.

http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/requiem-for-the-dead-american-spring-2014/synopsis.html

that's worth watching.. it's not only about "gun violence".. it's just about common sense regulations. If 30k+ people die a year of gun deaths; accidental, suicide, murder.. Then it's a "public health crisis". If 30k+ people died of ecoli poisoning per year, we would be freaking out over FDA regulations (which we do).. If 30k+ people die in car accidents per year, we pass stronger regulations, testing, safety measures etc - which we do.. But somehow 30k+ people die a year from guns and the answer is: less regulation, arm everyone, allow h.s. & college students to carry, etc etc? That makes 0 sense... Let's remove the restrictions on seat belts & air bags, because you know, those violate our freedom. It's literally that simple & stupid to me.

i've heard MANY liberals use "semi automatic weapons" in the correct context.. so I don't get why you are all up in arms about it.

also .. correct terminology & facts? you mean like republicans calling Obama a muslim? Obama isn't an American? Obama is going to take away your guns and institute martial law? Trickle down economics works? Obamacare is the worst thing that ever happened to America? Sandy Hook was done by Obama? Obama hates America? Climate change is a hoax? Planned parenthood is an organization that kills babies to sell body parts (Fiorina saw it!). Hillary's email server is the worst crime ever committed? Obamacare is the worst thing since slavery? Cruz's father helped assassinate JFK? yada yada.

I mean if you want to go on about terminology & misuse of facts, let's start with "Obamacare".. It's called "The Affordable Care Act" (ACA).. but nah, they have to call it Obamacare to somehow give it a negative connotation to their braindead supporters.

..

you can literally go back and forth on this forever.. it's useless.

hehe
