i might be 75% of the through pulling vines off of the trees in the cypress swamp. maybe 75% through also in the back forrest. it's never ending BUT there's major progress. it's crazy living here for 5 years and still not visiting so much of the property.... every time i unlock a new spot it's just mindblowing 
in the process found a bunch of native/fruiting guava trees hidden inside the brush. pretty cool
that remaining 25 + 25% probably take me to 2027. hoping to have it all done by 2027. goal is to be able to walk through every inch of the property. i was at say 25% when i moved in way back. vast majority of the property was unnavigable.
do about 3-4 hours a day of vine pulling / cutting through brush with the goats.
one day the satellite before/afters are going to be nuts. maybe the drone photos too. i've gone enough "before's" laying around for when i do the afters.
but yeah it is so much easier with the goat gang (8 goats). every pull of something edible and they are so excited.. so each pull of vines/invasive stuff is rewarding because the goats can't wait to devour it. and they will eat non-stop for as long as i'm out there removing this stuff.... once i'm done they will lay down for a bit and recover, except for twitch (our fat baby goat); she'll just keep going. lmao
it's weird man i am completely immersed in this stuff.. i guess like i get with everything.. but for this is just non stop outside physical labor with animals. the best feeling ever LoL

mostly like 5', though one of the small silkies i've seen go straight up like 10' lmao.
wild turkeys can go straight up, like 10-20'. i've seen them do it on the property.
these fat heritage turkey pets can do like 5'
🤣man the turkeys crack me up every day. goofiest birds we have. follow me around all day, it's hilarious 🤣

i might do a mile race in december. 2 years ago i ran it in like 6:40 lol (slow for me). last year it was cancelled as well as another one i wanted to do, due to hurricanes. it's a race i've done a few times way back, got like 5:02 once in it lol and got like 8th or something, super fast race.
i run pretty often but only 1-3 miles, usually after farming all day and then putting animals away for the night. i feel like i could go under 6 but no idea of my pace, since i don't use any feedback mechanisms anymore (which i prefer lately).
been finishing runs with speed (like hard last quarter, half, or mile etc). sometimes feel really good, sometimes feel like pewp

those tweaks can definitely contribute a lot to the fall offs you experienced. i mean your body basically downshifts unless you try to smash right through it (which is not good to do in looong races).
and if your legs end up feeling "great" afterwards, that's some really good fitness \o/

got 8 nigerian dwarf goats (3 more coming soon), 40 chickens, 8 ducks, 4 turkeys, 20 goldfish, 2 dogs..
i built this recently for the goats! it's basically done, just needs a few more finishing things. but it's useable, been using it for 3 weeks \o/
