well .. i'm not sure if it's dropping off or not. mentally i've dropped off for sure. if i'm not mentally focused, then it's hard to really run properly.. but ya i was feeling shitty from sleep schedule and it was crazy hot/humid. so dno tbh.

on the good side, jumping/sprinting is improving.

i'm also just resting alot more now.. i was going to train tonight but, feeling tired, so i'll just rest and then maybe try to jump max tomorrow. I'm alot more "patient" with training than I used to be..

woke up at 7 PM today................. bad.

07/27/2016

Bio: Morning

last night's sleep: ~7 hours
last night fell asleep: ~12 PM
- eek
wakeup = 3 PM
- eek
bw = 149
morning resting heart rate = didn't measure
soreness = none
aches = none
injuries = none
standing desk (when on computer): none
feel = wrecked
water = alot

Food

7 PM

- green tea
- greek yogurt
- banana

Food

10 PM

- stir fry: 4 potatoes, carrots, garlic, olive oil, kalamata olives , mixed nuts, fruit at the end, gorgonzola at the end
- bowl of cheerios + 2% milk + honey
- 2 x wheat bread with butter
- orange juice

way too much food.. destroyed me.

lots of coding today, even tho i wokeup so late etc..

one thing I started doing is, splitting up ln-ui into: ln-ui-core and ln-ui-reactflux. I'd like to put most everything in ln-ui-core, and then just anything I need for the actual ui in ln-ui-reactflux... that way, down the road, i could have ln-ui-cli, ln-ui-angular, ln-ui-reflex etc... it'll allow me to re-use ln-core for the core internals.

i'd like to also do that on the backend.. though I think the backend would be even easier. Once I get this moving & the app re-instated, i'll work on doing that to the backend.

one thing I wanted to do with this project from the start, is eventually make it a real 'polyglot system' in production. ie, we could be using different backends/frontends, as long as they all pass every unit test/behavioral test etc.. this way, it'll serve as some kind of architecture that not only just serves the forum, but helps others in the programming community by serving as this big "lego block" system where people from all backgrounds could eventually contribute. That's one of the goals i've had for a while.. so it seems i'm slowly starting to think about that more.

ooo nice. drop-step 29", sounds like you'll be back to hitting 30's on your 2-3 steps DLRVJ's fairly soon.

Thanks! No time though, leaving for summer vacation next week, haha.

damn!!!

well enjoy! for how long?

these sound like fun sessions.

I am enjoying running pretty much indeed. Not distance running, i hate it, a mile is the most i can run getting some enjoyment out of. But the sprints, i love them.

ya distance running can suck. if you're not there mentally it's torture. i'm not having as much fun with it lately, thus why it's not in my journal much.. i think i'm just too drained mentally to have fun with it right now.. and like you, enjoying the fast short sprints :F

dude looks microscopic. crazy.

I had a good ball for palming way back, but didn't use it much since I preferred lobs. Looked similar to that Wilson ball.. it was some indoor ball with a ton of grip.

major PR!!  :personal-record:

basically two PR's on my "fastest watch sprint". 17.6 mph, and 18.3 mph.

first time ever going over 18 mph on my watch. felt crazy fast tonight.. was "flying".

getting closer to 20 mph :DD:D:D:D:D:

nice, just did a direct port of purescript-halogen-bootstrap to haskell. literally took like 1 minute. pretty awesome, just saved myself a ton of time. ;f

bleh slept 11 hours.. horrible.

left glute still pretty sore, but, i'd like to train tonight, and thursday, and attempt PR's on sat.

Any chance you're dehydrated?  I notice when I don't get enough water I tend to sleep more and feel groggy.  You gotta be sweatin balls in Florida unless you're used to it.

ya it is possible.. though, as far as the heat, i am mostly inside with AC. florida is hot af right now.

i think it's more to do with my wrecked sleep schedule tbh.. prior to last night, I got ~7 hours sleep and I normally get 8.. and i also wokeup waaaay earlier.. so my body was wrecked.

i should find some bball's online, make sure they are lob-dunk-certified, and send them out.

my current bball is definitely not lob-dunk-certified, it has no bounce.. it's a "good outdoor spalding basketball", but it just sucks for lobs; I can throw it crazy high and it still won't bounce at rim level or higher. I might get one of those reebok bball's (from online) that I had way back, and see if it's lob-dunk-certified.

T0DDDAY-BASED ALTERNATING GYM-TRACK SPLIT

Week #12
Park day #1

15 minutes Dynamic warmup ( including 4x100m strides ).

1*100m@100% : low 16s
-Pretty good. Only rested 3 minutes from the strides which were ~75% ( ~20s ).

10' RIM JUMPS:
SVJ : max ~25''
Dropstep : max ~29''
1-step DLRVJ : max ~28'
2-3 steps DLRVJ : max ~29''
-Nice. Everything felt better and was higher. Got a sick dropstep at 29'' but was not repeatable.  1-step was uncoordinated. 2-3 steps 29s were repeatable.Couldn't get to 30'' though.

ooo nice. drop-step 29", sounds like you'll be back to hitting 30's on your 2-3 steps DLRVJ's fairly soon.

TEMPOS:
5*150m @ 70% , starting every 2 minutes.
-Great finisher! Although i was already 1 hour in, legs felt very light. Kept going faster than planned ( 32s vs 35s ).

these sound like fun sessions.
