finally uploaded darqbot to git.. unfortunately it's version 0.1, far from 1.0... i left a few things out because they are still a work in progress.. time to only modify this thing via git.

70k lines of C wtf.

properly formatted README:

time to find a coding and/or QA/SQA job.

Boxing / Re: lopezvs ortiz - amazing fight

I forgot about that
definitely going to have a look and report back.
 :)

EDIT: :o :wowthatwasnutswtf: OMG that was an awesome fight.

I had ortiz winning during the first few rounds, lopez started to make a come back especially the uppercut and the hook they were just nasty when they connected.

I can see ortiz get angry because of lopez always grappling and can't control himself by commiting a foul like in this case a hit to the back of the head.

after that lopez was from boxing to just plain "im going to get you back for that" attitude, fight mode.

Lopez performed really well during the middle and late rounds. he is a sick fighter, nice combos, i also like when ortiz wants him to get angry so he can really hammer as lopez forgets everything and just fights making him vulnerable.

then when they stopped the fight :o A BROKEN JAW wow caught when his mouth was open.
even though ortiz was winning, lopez had a lot of good hits in and won the fight and the TITLE.

definitely an awesome fight.

 :headbang:

ya, best fight of 2012 so far..

i absolutely love lopez's body shots.. man those are brutal.

when lopez started taunting ortiz, it shook him.. lopez has very good speed and his conditioning/chin is decent.. he was hurt a few times, but he's got heart.. it seemed like his legs were gone for a majority of that fight, they looked 'a bit unstable', yet he remained focused and pulled off the biggest upset of 2012 (besides the bradley/pacquiao robbery haha).

looking forward to seeing lopez again.. hopefully they don't feed him canelo just yet lol.. canelo is a freak.

time for canelo/mayweather maybe.... ;d

broner fighting soon, crazy speed, should be fun.. lots of good fights coming up.

peace

^clean valgrind, never seen that in a large scale program, respect! :o :highfive:

:highfive:

haha! thanks man.. ya i'm in the process of cleaning it up like crazy right now.. reorganizing lots of code, trying to create lots of 'safe' functions.. it already has lots of abstraction and i try to code very defensive, so im real happy about that valgrind output..

feels so good to get results like that. :F

the stuff that's been taking so much time lately, is reorganizing xmodule.c.. the shared object loader.. for some reason i want there to be a way to organize/access the modules via:
- list
- avl tree
- perfect hash
- array

i don't know why i just want it to be selectable.. even though the framework was decent, i've found myself redoing it.. eventually i could benchmark the bot in various modes based on those data structures, compare performance data for fun.. dno hah

peace man thanks for that!

Terry Gross is boss although my cousin (an actress) pointed out that she sucks at interviewing actors: infantilizes them or asks insulting questions. But in general she's awesome.

she's my fav.. beyond her being a great interviewer, her voice is so soothing hah.

this one interview i heard yesterday, was perfect.. an interview with "baratunde thurston", a writer for "the onion". had me lmfao'n at work. i'd listen to that again, great stuff.

you have any recommendations for podcasts/streams, politics/science related?

Diane Rehm is also really good, not sure if she's podcasted but I'd guess she is. Her voice is wacky. My uncle (father of that cousin -- talented family) has been on her show at least once.

cool.. what did he go on there to talk about?

i love rehm's wacky voice :F

weird my smf module stopped working out of nowhere.... paste:

03:08 <@deadbeef> ^rant rant started..
03:09 <@deadbeef> testing rant module.. allows for multi line chunks of data to be logged and then piped etc.
03:09 <@deadbeef> ok what did i do todat: i didn't sleep.. 0 hours sleep.. took dog to park real early, 7am.. i love that time
                  of day
03:09 <@deadbeef> did lots of coding.. ate pretty good.
03:10 <@deadbeef> trying to fix my diet.. i have been eating really bad, which is a product of funds i guess, but still, need
                  to fix it.
03:10 <@deadbeef> i've been stretching more, trying to loosen up even though i'm not 'physically active'.
03:11 <@deadbeef> found a bunch of bot obsessed programmers on irc.. really cool.. they have a bunch of custom bots in their
channel, and they always seem to be coding.. so, found some cool people to talk to regarding programming.
03:11 <@deadbeef> saw that snow white movie, was decent i guess.. special effects were pretty dope.
03:12 <@deadbeef> had a margarita pizza from california pizza kitchen.
03:12 <@deadbeef> watched pat buchanon act a fool on stossel, what a nutbag.
03:12 <@deadbeef> ok peace

ya i dont buy that though..

why would they want a star with no power?

i think this result is just a legit clusterfu&k.

as for the rematch, i can't see bradley fighting any worse.. i think he's actually going to fight much better, now that he's felt pac's power, knows that he was able to be effective even with a hurt foot, etc.

i don't get why pac took some rounds off.. i mean marquez did that against pac in the last fight, look how that turned out..

DON'T TAKE ROUNDS OFF, especially the 12th..

unlike nacho, roche told pac to go out there and KO bradley... pac just coasted that entire round.

had he won the 12th, it would have been a draw.

so nuts.

i am so shocked....

i mean, i had bradley losing 9-3 or 8-4, so, definitely losing.. i do think they gave pac way too much credit each round.. but just looking at the punch stats, the damage each round, pac definitely won that..

wtf just happened?

the most shocking decision i've ever seen..

hopefully bradley brings it way harder in nov 8th or whenever the rematch is.. the ankle injury did seem to have an effect on his mobility.. but now having won this ridiculous decision, maybe he'll fight like he normally does in the rematch.

what the hell just happened..

!@$$!@

sorry for idiot question...

what is a bot?

'bot' covers a realy big spectrum.. in general, it's software that automates things for you.. like a 'robot'.. so you program into it, the ability to solve problems/perform tasks, then you can have those tasks automated. you can also link a bot with another, have them perform tasks 'together', ie split tasks into smaller pieces, work on those, then provide solutions/feedback to the endusers.

so a bot is just a software robot.. good bots are able to perform a wide variety of tasks, make things easier for you, share resources/tasks with other bots, even self propogate/find each other on the internet using various protocols etc.

learnoutloud.com = amazing

man i've been downloading all kinds of informative podcasts/mp3's to my ipod.. it has zero music on it now.. whenever I leave the house, i have the ipod blasting education into my ear.. today i listened to probably ~6 hours worth of "fresh air (NPR" pod casts.. just ridiculous how intense it stimulated my brain.. i came home, and coded up a storm.. not to mention i learned a ton.

listening to informative podcasts 'while im not at home' is now apart of my daily routine.. i'm listening to them at work, in car, at dog park, outside walking etc.. while i'm home, im not listening because i have to focus pretty hard on programming.. can't turn the podcasts into background noise, because then i wouldn't learn much.

i had this idea months ago but i figured i'd read instead... BAD DECISION.. this is 120491049120412940x more effective.

man when i got home after listening to 6 hours of straight intelligence, my brain was so amp'd it was ridiculous.

very happy about this :D

learnoutloud.com ;f

my two favorite podcasts on my ipod are:
fresh air (NPR/terri gross)
compucast (nice comp sci radio show)

oh i have a ton of tedtalks on there too..

nice.

i dont know which pacquiao will show up.. if he's his animal self, i have him winning a decision.. if he's the pac that show up for marquez 3... i can see bradley winning this.

who i want to win? kind of tough to love bradley after he ducked khan, but i dno i still kind of want him to win.. but then that'd make a future pbf/pac matchup irrelevent..

i like bradley though, he's diesel & a crazy hard worker..

unfortunately for pac, he's going to get split open with a headbutt. bradley's head is granite.
